About Harriet Fair Oaks Self-Serve Car Wash
Harriet Fair Oaks Self-Serve Car Wash offers a 24/7 self-washing experience with a clean and user-friendly setup. Customers appreciate the convenience of using credit cards instead of coins, and the staggered drying bays help avoid crowding. The minimum charge for a wash is $4, but a $10 holding charge may appear on statements. The timer starts when payment is made and continues until the wash cycle is manually stopped, which can be confusing. Some users have noted that the wash cycle can be limited to 15 minutes, depending on the dirtiness of the car, and they have found the spray nozzles to be powerful with a variety of options. However, the vacuums have received criticism for being weak, and there have been instances of low soap levels in the machines. Microfiber towels and air fresheners are also available for an additional fee. Overall, while the service allows for a DIY approach, there are areas for improvement in product quality.
By far the BEST auto carwash in the area! ? Works perfect, clean and convenient place, your car will look like brand new! Vacuum available too. Just perfect and super quick! I recommend it and will come back often for sure! ?✨️? + ⚠️ I read the other reviews below : yes they charge 10$ *first* but then the next day, you get really charged for the *right* amount of your service. For example: I saw my card got charged 10$ first when I got there then on the next day the actual amount was 6 dollars (I stayed 6 minutes) - just for correcting what was said below, by mistake. ? so all is fair.
Contrary to what the reviews below are stating, this was my experience as of Aug 2023:There is a minimum $4 charge for washing, but a $10 holding charge MAY appear on your statement. The timer begins the moment you pay and continues to count UP until you manually stop the wash cycle (after which you'll have to swipe your card again to begin washing again). Presumably this is to make sure you only get charged for what you use. Sort of. The timer doesn't stop counting just because you let off the nozzle handle -- you have to intentionally stop the transaction, so work quickly.15 minutes maximum before the washer shuts off on its own. This may or may not be enough time depending...read full review
Clean! Set up so you can use your credit card instead of fumbling for coins. The drying bays are staggered so you're not up against another customer. There are signs posted saying that if you don't press the stop button in the wash bay the timer keeps running until the max ($15, I think), so be aware.
