I have struggled with me/cfs (probably precipitated by lyme disease) for 8 years. I have seen countless physicians and practitioners, but Dr. Johns is the ONLY one I have continued to work with throughout this struggle. He does real magic with needles (if you're still on the fence about acupuncture, get a few treatments from him, and you'll see what even one needle can do), has unprecedented commitment to his patients, feels like family but keeps things professional, and is just, well, super rad. Dr Johns is an incredible, skillful acupuncturist and herbalist. He has cured my high genetic cholesterol with herbs, fixed a detached retina I had with acupuncture, through cupping he removed a lipoma on my back, and through moxibustion Dr. Johns cured my problems with constipation. I have had several outbreaks of disseminated shingles and Dr Johns removed the fluid from the boils without leaving any scar. Over the last 34 years, Dr. Johns has also successfully treated me for pneumonia, sore throat and arthritis pain in my knee. Dr. Johns is the most remarkable physician I have ever known. He is the reason the quality of my health is so great. He is a great listener, caring and insightful.Dr. Johns treats the entire body, not just a part. Highly recommend.

Dr. Robert Johns is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (OMD), certified as a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc), and is an herbalist of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This private practice has been open since 1986 in the Bay Area. Dr. Johns has experience with a wide variety of cases and conditions. Whether it is cerebral palsy, side effects from a stroke, high blood pressure/cholesterol, or fertility; he believes in treating the body as a whole rather than specific symptoms. Techniques such as needling, moxa, or cupping may be applied for treatment. During the initial consultation, Dr. Johns will spend time to get a full diagnosis of what treatment is best for you, as each individual is unique.
