I have been a regular customer of Fred's since early 2020. I wanted to support them through the pandemic, and up until today, I have been pleased with their service.We picked up my husband's long sleeve oxford shirt last week, and while nicely pressed, we noticed what appeared to be a burn hole on the sleeve. It looked like it was done with a cigarette. I returned the shirt this morning to question the burn, and was told Flatly that it could Not have been done at the Cleaner. I asked why there was no card to indicate there was a flaw on the shirt originally and was told, that is only done with stains. Really?The owner continued to argue that it could not have happened during drycleaning. He was willing to refund the $2.99 cleaning cost. This is a Ralph Lauren shirt! An apology and $20. credit would have saved a good customer. Instead I was made to feel like we burned the shirt, and I should just 'suck it up'.I picked up the clothes I was leaving for dryclean and will Never set foot in there again. That is no way to run a business.

My husband and I have been going to Fred’s Cleaners for over 3 years. Everyone at Fred’s Cleaners are knowledgeable, kind, and professional. They give honest opinions about everything I ask to be altered, cleaned and ironed. They are also very detailed oriented regarding special cleaning such as leather jackets. Alteration is excellent quality as well. My husband stopped taking his alterations to Nordstrom and only go to Fred’s now. I highly recommend Fred’s Cleaner’s in Alamo
