“I went to Target optical to get new glasses. I worked with Jonah who was wonderful. When I first got there he asked if I needed help. I said no I was just browsing, he said to let him know if I needed help. I liked that he didn't hover. When I was ready he was very helpful. He had great knowledge about the products and great advice. I wasn't prepared with my insurance information, and he was incredibly patient as I texted my husband for information about our insurance plan. Jonah said that he wanted to make sure we got the coverage we had in our plan. I highly recommend working with him!“

“Dr. Khela is one of the best optometrists I've seen! I had LASIK a decade+ ago and started needing contacts a couple years ago (a combo of minor scar tissue, astigmatism, but nothing serious enough to warrant a touch up). However, I struggled for over a year because the contacts still left my vision a little blurry when doing computer work, weren't comfortable for long periods, etc. I'd tried out multiple prescriptions and brands and was burnt out, but I needed to renew my prescription and had just moved so I figure I'd give Dr. Khela a try, expecting nothing would really change in my contact discomfort. I could not have been more wrong - she is a phenomenal clinician / wizard. She explained exactly where my discomfort was coming from (astigmatism!), got me in more comfortable contacts, explained why having one contact for astigmatism and one normal might help, and masterfully explained why computer work was giving me a headache and had a great fix. Her experience working with hundreds of patients doing deep squinty computer work really makes her an expert on modern eye fatigue and her solutions are creative and adaptive. I didn't know it was possible to be this wowed by your eye doctor but eye comfort is so underrated and I am grateful to have found the best doctor!“

“This is the only place I trust to make my prescription lenses. Pete (the owner) is an amazing human being. He's friendly, helpful and a master lens maker. I've had a tricky and severe prescription for a long time and it was near impossible to get lenses that didn't distort my vision. With Pete's expert guidance over several years we were always able to get it done correctly and help me see clearly. Pete educated me more about what all the numbers on a prescription mean more than any optometrist or even ophthalmologist I've seen. He has been an absolute life saver. And his prices are always reasonable. Also, I recently had cataract surgery. Pete went out of his way to tell me what to expect, possible complications, what lens implants I should get and also what my prescription would be after the surgery. And as you can probably guess, he was spot-on on about absolutely everything. Post-surgery I still require glasses, and Pete will remain my go-to guy. “I drive from up North to Lafayette every year just for my exam! Dr. Zheng really knows how to dial in a prescription for unique needs! For my first pair of glasses I required progressive lenses with each eye needing slightly different correction. I have an astigmatism as well. Prior to going to Dr. Zheng I went to two "specialists" and ended up spending over a thousand dollars on specialty glasses. Unfortunately I was still having issues with dynamic and fast movement, delays to focus at different distances and quick changes. Tracking moving objects were just a blur. He explained it would probably take a few prescriptions, one each year ti really dial it in. My first pair of glasses was already SO much better than either of the two from the previous optometrists. The 2nd year it was even better, I thought it was about as good as it gets and I was totally happy, but I was wrong the 3rd year he said things were stabilizing and a slight change would really help me focus faster. When I got my new glasses he was right again!! Moving objects, fast changes in depth perception and ability to focus back and forth from near to far was much improved!! Well worth my 3-4 hour drive every year!“

I really don't want to wear glasses, but Dr. Monica made me feel so comfortable about them she put me at ease. Dr. Monica took the time to check every aspect of each eye to make sure that there was nothing there for me to worry about, she even asked me about my blood pressure to make sure that I was taking my medication correctly. Anderson, what can I say, he made paying for my glasses a breeze I just gave him my SS# and he had everything ready for me when I got there! If I need to have my glasses replaced, he makes sure that I get the best quality of glasses with minimal cost. And the other staff, they go out of their way to make you sure that you are comfortable and at ease, and they make sure that you understand what you are paying for before you make your payment. “Dr. Chan is excellent. The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 has to do with the front staff. I was told that my insurance would cover part of the cost for a pair of sunglasses and I was quoted a price. The staff member then encouraged me to wait until my annual appointment to purchase them (so my benefit could be applied). However, when I got done with the appointment one month later and was ready to purchase the glasses, another staff member said I had to pay full price. When I explained this to the staff member who had originally quoted me the price (she had even encouraged me to put the glasses on hold), she said she "did not remember" ever quoting me the discounted price. I should have asked for the quote in writing. I will be doing this from now on and I would definitely advise others to do the same. I would hope that the front staff is more clear in the future. Furthermore, I would hope that they don't "forget" details promised.“
