“It was my first time at Vena’s today, and they did not disappoint.

I booked an appointment with Mindy online and arrived on time. Unfortunately, they were running a few minutes behind schedule due to customers having a hard time finding parking because of construction along Santa Clara and Central, but they were all very apologetic about the delay.

I got their signature golden pedicure and Gel-X.

My pedicure felt great. I asked my technician (sorry, didn’t get her name!) to cut off the dry skin on the sides of my toenails, and she was very careful about it. My only complaint is that I wish she had exfoliated my heel a little bit more, but she was so sweet, and she painted my toenails so nicely that I really couldn’t complain.

My favorite part was the Manicure! I’ve had Gel X before but not nearly as neat and as meticulously done as how Amy did it! I showed her a few inspos and told her I wanted something clean, neutral, and simple, and she understood the assignment! She picked the most perfect color and was considerate of my skin tone.

Although I’m not sure if booking online and picking a staff guarantees you get serviced by that staff member (maybe just today because they were behind), I truly enjoyed their service and will definitely be back!“

“Kim's was able to accommodate me for a basic manicure with no appointment today. It got real busy for a few minutes, and I think Kim might have regretted her decision, but in the end all customers were taken care of with professionalism. My manicurist was very meticulous, checking with me every step of the way to be sure I was satisfied with the shape and color of my nails. Wonderful experience, highly recommend with no hesitation!

“The studio is bright and welcoming. It’s comfy and clean. I loved that I was able to book my first appointment online and that their website is so easy to use. Great location with free parking so you don’t have to feed meters and it’s easy to pop downtown for lunch before or after an appointment.

Stylist: Kayla has worked wonders with my hair over the past few years. My color always comes out bright and vibrant. She listens and has been able to give me what I’ve requested since our first appointment. She is so kind and has taken wonderful care of me as our relationship and her knowledge of my hair has developed.“

“Got haircut here, I found the interior to be very comfortable, not to mention large, with several rooms inside as you go in.

While the front area seems to mainly be a nail salon, there is a haircut section with couches and several seats for haircuts, there was also waxing and other services in other rooms.

The person who cut my hair was above average, and not just considering the price. While the price is on the lower end in terms of bay area pricing, the quality of cut, evenness, minnimal stray missed hairs etc. is reflective of a haircut maybe about twice the price. So its a great value“

“Linda is an expert at what she does! I previously had micro blading, but it faded. I decided to try the "fly" technique which is like nano blading where each hair is carefully and accurately drawn in. This is a very time consuming process that Linda does like an expert. She shows you along the way, so there are no surprises! I highly recommend Linda Phong, as she is a master in her craft. It is worth the time and money. This technique lasts much longer than micro blading and it does not hurt. I couldn't be happier!“
