My family has been going here for many years with multiple pets, but the latest visit for my kitty’s dental cleaning compelled me to leave a review.<br><br>First, the costs were very affordable for high-quality care.<br>Second, the staff is SO helpful and compassionate. They were great with my wiggly cat, and everyone, front staff and Dr. Holly, was very responsive to my questions and anxieties about the procedure.<br>Third, her teeth look great. The care she received from start to finish was top notch.<br><br>We brought our first pet in because this was the closest vet to us at the time. Since moving over an hour away, I will continue to bring my current cat to Lakemont Vet. Thank you so much for all that you do for your patients and their owners!!!“

“It was a pleasure to discover this clinic open on Saturday for emergencies when I thought my dog might have a foxtail in his ear. Since my former veterinarian retired a couple of years ago, there's been an apparent shortage of small animal practitioners in the county. It can be hard to book appointments, especially last-minute, and most places are so expensive! The staff here were friendly and gentle, the service efficient and affordable. (We were out the door for about the same amount another emergency clinic in this county charges to walk IN the door.) This hospital also offers routine veterinary care, a definite plus.“

“I met Dr. Kunin approximately 20 years ago. By my second visit he had won my admiration and friendship. In my opinion he stood out from the other Veterinarians I had worked with in the past. Not only did he know his craft extremely well, he also has a caring side for both animal and owners alike. I believe his drive to be a veterinarian came from growing up on a farm and dealing with the suffering of many animals. I believe he wanted to make a difference and do what he could to help animals in peril...which I believe he's done. During my recent time there, I also dealt with two of the other doctors during my difficulties with my dog, Loki (who was going though kidney shut down). It became a 3-way effort with his team, including Dr. Nardi and Dr. Barker. These doctors also have that rare quality of being truly invested in the work they do. I do not know how Dr. Kunin has the ability (or luck) to attract the quality of veterinarians he does, but I am extremely grateful. I can't overstate my admiration for the Doctors, but also for the staff as well. Their technician, Dior, helped with Loki's daily injections. She would greet us with a warm and caring smile. With her kindness, she eventually won Loki over and made a daunting experience bearable. The royal treatment did not end there. If Dior wasn't available, Alejandro, Stephen, Brittany and Yusmary took over with the same enthusiasm and kindness. Senior technicians April and Jennifer always comforted me with therapeutic advice and words of wisdom. Their administrative staff, Alexandra and Jessica kept everything well organized and communicated my needs to the Doctors. I want to mention these technicians, because they are the backbone of this veterinarian clinic and deserves praise for their work. Everyone made it a friendly and comfortable situation every time I walked into the office. Not to mention they added close to a year of quality and happiness to Loki's life. Dr. Kunin's office and administrative staff made me feel as if they were caring for their own pet when they were caring for Loki. Again, my deepest thanks to you all. Loki eventually succumbed to her illness. The team at Veterinary Medical Center comforted me through it all. To this day, I look upon them as friends for life. I will always be grateful to everyone who worked at Veterinary Medical Center. Losing a pet is difficult. I wish I could give them all medals, trophies and a week's vacation in Hawaii ending with an extravagant ceremony for the exceptional service they give on a daily basis. Kudos to this Veterinary Staff, anyone who brings their animals here will be lucky and blessed to have them cared for with such love. -Michael T.“

“the ONLY place I trust with my cats. My cats are my reason for living, so I give them the best care and got them pet insurance. I drive 1.5 hours just to come here. I recently got my 3 year old's teeth cleaned, and they did an excellent job. I will say it was definitely more pricier than other places, but cats are notorious for hiding diseases that have fatal consequences, so I didn't want to skimp out on my cat's teeth cleaning.<br><br>I brought my other cat Anubis here and two other vets couldn't diagnose her and had already spent $1,200 only to be told they didn't know what was wrong with her, when she had a fever of 104 degrees. I brought her here, they give me the diagnosis in one day, and I had emergency pyometra surgery for my cat the next day (a condition in which a cat's uterus gets full of puss. I had just adopted her from a family being evicted, so she had never been to the vet before me and was already 3 years old.)<br><br>They give you updates when they are done as well, and follow up the next day. Absolutely exceptional service. My cats are everything to me.“

I especially appreciated dealing with Dr. Ravenscroft, who was very kind and knowledgable and straightforward with her communication about what we were dealing with. “We wanted a second opinion for our Havanese with chronic bloody stools and vomiting . We were told by his previous vet he has colitis. The little guy has struggled with this on and off for over three years but just recently, it was getting more frequent and extremely scary!! After forking our almost $900.00 for an office visit, medications, and being told it could be Colitis and IBS - pancreatitis was ruled out by a blood test - the bloody stools still continued. I found recommendations for Dr. Novy on the Nextdoor App. As with any change, we were skeptical!! However, we found Dr. Novy to be caring, empathetic and knowledgeable! We stopped all the previous medications, Sucralfate, Pepcid and metronidazole to following Dr. Novy's prescriptions and suggestions. Our little guy is doing so much better!! It's been almost a month without any bloody stools! We went from losing hope to enjoying our little guy's bouncing back to his old self each day. Most importantly, Dr. Novy kept tabs on our little guy's progress everyday!! Yes, everyday he wanted us to call in to check in and didn't hesitate at all to answer all of my d*** questions without judgment!! One evening, about 7 PM, I received a call which showed Valley Vet. I just assumed an employee was calling to check up on our little guy. I was shocked it was Dr. Novy himself!!! Thank you Dr. Novy!! Additionally, a quick shout out to the staff!! Thanks for always handling my panicked calls - yes calls - several a day - with so much professionalism and patience!! To top it off, we received a - Thank you - Card for having selected them to be our Vet!! Very classy!“

“We had our 7 month old pup visit paw works for his pre op blood screening and neuter. He was boarded with paw works during this time and they took the best care of him. Incredibly loving and knowledgeable staff. Services provided from their animal hospital have very fair charges. Will only be using Paw works from further on!“

“Our cat was sick and we found out our Veterinarian had moved from another facility to Valley Veterinary Clinic (30 miles away) We trust Dr. Megan Thomas and would follow her anywhere to care for our cats. She is thorough, detailed and it was such a relief to find her again. What a pleasant experience at Valley Veterinary Clinic. From the first call to the visit, everyone was so helpful and kind. Dina and Mindy are top notch as well as both Vet Techs (sorry I didn't get your names) you all did such a great job. I also liked the separate waiting areas for Dogs and Cats. The facility is older and I LOVED the warm atmosphere; don't change a thing. You could tell so many fur families have been cared for here. Everything was spotless and organized. “i had my snake aquamated through moorpark vet, and all of the staff were incredibly accomodating and caring throughout the entire process. responses and callbacks were fast, and it took me just over 2 weeks to receive my ashes, which were thoughtfully packed along with a cute wooden plaque with my snake’s imprint on it and a certificate. the process was so smooth which really eased me, and i couldn’t recommend them enough.<br>the aquamation itself was done through peaceful pets aquamation, which is where moorpark vet does all of their aquamations, so i also absolutely recommend them as well.“
