Why am I expected to pay full month rent when my unit has been uninhabitable for about three weeks?!!!!

I rented a brand new unit in Tower 4 Lougheed City. About a year and a half later, I noticed water droplets emerging from the grout between the flooring tiles. It was discovered that the washing machine's water supply pipe had been improperly installed, causing a slow, unnoticed leak that led to mold growth beneath the flooring. This meant prolonged exposure to mold.

I am about to perhaps sign up with them for a rental property called the City of Lougheed and they manage them. Is this a mistake based on reviews here or are they fine? What is good and bad about them? Details are very welcomed so we can make the right decision. Stay away at all cost?
