“I recommend Canine Harmony 100%. Our dog is a rescue and we were nervous about boarding him because of this. I did extensive research and they also came highly recommended by my friend. Timber did amazing and is so happy after we picked him up. We drove all the way from Port Coquitlam to bring him here and we have a few boarding places a couple blocks from us. They took amazing care of our boy and the pictures and videos that they shared with us proved it by the way my dog looked. He literally had a smile ear to ear in each of the photos and videos. Thank you so much, you guys took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. We will be back.“
“Great service! I recently took my dog here for nail trimming and ear cleaning, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring towards my pet. The prices was incredibly reasonable. I will definitely be returning to this grooming place in the future. Highly recommended!“
“The staff and the vet doctor are very helpful and very kind.
As well they understand the importance of taking care of your family members, I would recommend them to other animal owners.“
“Great experience for my dog Hendrix. I almost think he didn't wanna come home he had such a good time“
“Dr McPhee took amazing care of our cat Cisco, after a great long life, with old age he began to decline and it was time to take him out of suffering. Dr McPhee was kind, caring, and comforting during this process. She explained everything that was going to happen step by step and reassured us that we were making the right decision which, as pet owners, is very hard to come to terms with. Thank you Dr McPhee for making this process easier on my whole family, including Cisco.“
“We recently had our fluff ball groomed and we are beyond pleased with the entire experience. Yume did a fantastic job with all aspects covered by our chosen package, our fluff ball is less fluffy than before but walking tall and proud after this experience. Although you can have your pet groomed elsewhere at a lower cost (not by much mind you), the reduced stress of having the one groomer come to you with them only focused on your pet makes the usual stresses evaporate.“
“Teri is the best Groomer I have ever dealt with she is so kind and caring. Best haircut my dog has ever had and the best part of the whole experience is that he came home happy and not stressed and loved the entire experience.Highly recommend best groomer ever“
“Been bringing my dog here for a year now and I absolutely love this place. My dog can be quite difficult because of some unfortunate experiences with previous groomers, where he would be sad for days after. However, with this groomer, he's completely fine after! The owners are two lovely women with the most radiant energy. I feel safe leaving my baby with them. Their prices are quite reasonable, and my dog looks wonderful after every visit. Highly recommend this place!“
“Very quick nail trim. Everyone was so nice and worker was super informative when I called in about questions“
“I like shopping at my local stores. If you come here, there usually some cute kitties you can pet!“
“After I spent a long time searching for a groomer that does hand stripping, I was recommended to reach out to Animal Haven. I immediately called to confirm about the hand stripping for my Welsh Terrier puppy. I was assigned a date (few weeks from my call). The day finally came on Feb 27 2024 and I could not be happier with the work that Michele did on my dog. Upon arriving, not only did she immediately recognize the breed but she also was knowledgeable of the breed standard and the style that my dog's stripping needed to be like to comply with that standard. Despite being only 8 months old and being on the grooming table only 2 times before, she handled him in such way that he was very comfortable and showing not a single sign of stress upon pickup. I am now scheduled to come back every few weeks to keep working on his coat. My experience here was outstanding and I wish I could rate more than five stars only.Hugo V.“
“Been taking my dog Tobi here for 2 years now. They do such a great job grooming my dog, Tobi is a big dog and its get sometime hard to wash him because of his size. I have huge respect for them.“
“Every time I come here, Katrina has aleays been very helpful. She is knowledgeable and always keen to assist. I am also in retail and I know it is difficult to find the good ones. I hope someone does read this and give her the recognition she deserves. She is one of the main reasons I come to the location.“
“The store manager Berry, one of the best and most knowledgeable humans I have met. She is super friendly, we come here often and she now knows us for sure. She educated us and guided us about our kitten & adult cat and made us feel calm after our interaction. 100/100 if you have any questions about your pets, especially cats, talk to her! Thank you for always being so kind and welcoming to us Berry!“
“My dog Vino did the board and train program at Argos. He is quite fear reactive, generally anxious around new people, and started having fear based redirect aggression with our neighbors dog, which is when I knew it was time! I was nervous about a 4 week program, but I'm so glad I did it. Because of his fear and trauma, he needed the time to build good foundations over the 4 weeks.
When we came in for a free consultation, the two trainers (Manny and Erik) let us take our time to talk through all our questions and concerns, got to know Vino, and set expectations really well based on what they saw from Vino that day. We spent 1.5 hours and they made sure we could take the time we needed.
They were able to get Vino in super quickly which was amazing and hard to find. Throughout the program we got weekly updates including videos and photos. Vino did incredibly well at his time at Argos in that he learned the fundamentals of loose leash training, learned how to have positive interactions with dogs, and gained confidence around people. The staff seemed to do very well balancing putting him in uncomfortable situations but also going at his pace. By the end, he was able to be very close to the other dogs there without reacting and was able to have positive interactions with dogs across a fence, which we didn't think was possible.
These were incredible results but if you are considering this program, it's important to know (and Argos did tell us) that you have to put the work in to continue newly learned habits. Vino can fall back into bad tendencies back at home of reacting when seeing dogs he used to react to. That said, the redirect aggression is completely gone and vino recovers much better in stressful situations. I think it's important to know that while it was incredibly successful and left us both feeling confident, we will still work at his reactivity.
When we went back for our 2 week post training session, this was honestly mostly a training for me (in a good way) to go through situations we weren't sure about or needed practice at. But Vino again had positive interactions with dogs during this sessions and was so excited to see the trainer, which is how I know he had a great experience too. It does seem like the trainers really care about long term success and are happy to help with challenges into the future as well, which is incredible.
My only recommendations for argos:
-While weekly report cards are great and thorough, I would love to see more photos / brief updates every few days, especially at the beginning. I would say most other boarding places have more frequency so would love to see that for the program cost.
- I recommend that Argos sends more information about exactly what to pack and expect before the program. I reached out 2 days before asking about a packing list. They gave me a list, but I didn't realize just how many treats he would need. I ended up having to bring more, and I live an hour away so I just wish I had gotten more information from the beginning on what was expected of me to avoid that.
- They are incredibly generous about trainers time and having free sessions after/before. That said when budgeting, keep in mind the program doesn't include buying the accessories your dog might need after the program, like a specific collar or leash. We did need these and it's a bit unideal to have the extra cost. I think it would be nice to have an option to lump them together, and again, just have more proactive information from the beginning on what to expect.
Thanks Argos, vino will continue to come back for boarding and we are grateful for such a positive experience.“
