I know there are different opinions re teeth cleaning for dogs re anaesthsia or not. We researched quite a bit, and decided to go with Beacon Pet on 5th street in Sidney, even though it was off island where we live. Great decision. From the very first call they were warm, caring, clear re procedure, price range for normal procedure, made sure we knew that a separate tech person would use the latest equipment to monitor during anaesthesia the whole time, and accommodated the ferry schedule when it was late the day of the cleaning. The Doctor was a very warm man, clear and precise in communicating, and found a heart murmur during the initial exam, so he adjusted the meds for anaesthesia to be extra careful. We were so grateful for the care, thoroughness and professionalism of his initial exam and findings. And for his warm communication to us when the murmur was found. He explained it and answered our worried questions fully. All said and done, front staff and med staff, they were great all around, so if you are considering similar treatment, and want a great place and veterinarian who goes the extra km. and don't mind leaving the island to get such good care, I highly recommend Beacon Pet.

Victor is amazing with our little Sammy dog. So gentle and caring, he takes the time to make Sammy comfortable before he does any exams. Sammy is a puppy and recently we had a concern with him not feeding and tummy troubles. Susan fit us in right away, Victor saw him and did a through exam, sorted out his food and Sammy is doing well!. We are always warmly welcomed by Victor and his staff.
