“i recommend only talking to jasmine there. a few days ago, i dropped by because i noticed they sold skinceuticals, which i previously learned about from vanity lab in yaletown and recently purchased a mini triple lipid cream from hammam spa in toronto.

current face: wrinkly eyes, flaky red chin. uncertain whether i am allergic to retinol or paraben or dimethicone, and whether hyaluronic acid is actually the opposite of moisturizing

i really appreciated jasmine's honest advice, friendly attitude and non-pushiness, and i ended up buying a skinceuticals sunscreen that day.

i went back today to purchase a cleanser, because it was one of the samples she gave me, which i ended up loving. unfortunately jasmine was not there, so another girl assisted me. for some reason, she starts speaking to me in mandarin. i was telling her i may have to consider buying a second cleanser for when i am resuming adapalene, because the cleanser i was after today contained glycolic acid. it was both funny and frustrating to see her deny that glycolic acid was one of the ingredients. i told her that's what the website says, yet she frantically goes flipping through a skinceuticals binder and reiterates that glycolic acid was not in the product. i then pointed out, it says glycolic acid on bottom line on the ingredient list on the bottle. then, she turns to her colleague beside her and asks one more time, this has glycolic acid? and for some reason, her colleague responded at me, saying, "if it says so on the website, then it's probably in it".

aside from not being concerned about my concern, i just wonder why i am educating a salesperson on a product they are selling!

and oh yes, this lady has no idea that 0.1% retinoic acid is stronger than 0.5% retinol!“

“Walked in randomly without an appointment as I was in dear need of a deep tissue massage.

They were able to accommodate me immediately which was a nice surprise. Although I would have preferred a male simply due to the fact I need an excessive amount of pressure, my female therapist did an excellent job using all of her body weight plus a series of dynamic stretches / elbow movements etc. Needless to say, she got the job done and I was pleasantly surprised.

The spa is extremely clean and professional, the prices are fair and they offered me water and tea which was nice.
