Having Progressive come to place a reinforced pad for a silo was a seamless experience. The first time meeting Beau when he came to do a site inspection, I knew this job was going to go well. He immediately offered suggestions to improve upon the plans we already had to help with the particular sub surface on our property. He and his crew were also able to adapt to changes that I requested (before the pour of course). We purchased our house a year ago and have been enjoying our radiant floors. One day during the cold snap, we noticed that the floors weren't emitting any heat. AB Tech was recommended by a friend of ours so I called Bruce and explained the situation. Good news/bad news: it was a Friday and he was in the middle of a big job and couldn't come until Monday. Then an hour later, he called to say he was breaking away from the big job to come look. He noted that the boiler wasn't serviced in a while and the pilot needed replacing. He spent a couple hours on this when I know he had to get back to the big job, but he was committed. He just came back today to finish the service. I'm grateful to Bruce and his crew for taking the time to help us. It would have been a cold weekend.

This company has just completed our kitchen counter tops (Island and Sink) with Quartz. I can honestly say I have never experienced such an amazing group of people who did the work for us. Our contractor, Billy Boyes (Boyes Contracting) was the one who introduced us to Spectrum Stone to check out the quartz designs. The workers were professional , respectful and definitely had full knowledge of what they were doing. I have never experienced such a hard working crew. They had to put in some over time and they did it willingly and without a whimper. They went over and above their duties and I want to thank them for all the work they did. Billy Boyes came so well and highly recommended (and he too did not disappoint) and the entire job has been a wonderful success. I have been there many times in the past ten years, and I feel more and more confident that I can leave all my car problems to them. The boss is very kind. He explains the problem clearly every time and proposes the most affordable solution. This time, the exhaust pipe of the car was damaged. A nearby repair shop quoted $2,500. I thought it would be safer to go to MTTM. Sure enough, after going there, the boss explained in detail: which part needs to be replaced, how much the manufacturer's quotation for this part is, the other part is damaged but does not need to be replaced, they can repair it, and how much they charge for labor. In the end, the problem was solved for less than $200. Highly recommended, this is a repair shop with great skills and integrity.

We hired P&D Kitchens & Baths for intensive renovations to our condo. They came highly recommended from a friend who used them twice for renovations. We are incredibly happy to have taken their recommendation. As we all know, renovations can be quite stressful and expensive. This is a family run company based in Richmond and each encounter we have had with the staff was very impressive. From Marta who manages the show room, coordinates appointments and is extremely knowledgeable of the products available she navigated us in the selection of toilets/sinks/tiles/fixtures/shower doors/ kitchen sinks etc. to the renovators Les, Sergio and Gerry whose workmanship is beyond expectation. They always showed up on time, worked methodically and were great in resolving any challenges and thought ‘outside the box’ to make it work. The work is now completed, we are extremely happy with the quality and the workmanship. We all worked to together as a team, they listened to what our needs were and that alone speaks volumes. I opted for the wash and long haircut service, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The staff even asked if I needed something to drink, which was a nice touch!
Yu was absolutely amazing—she put so much effort into transforming my 2-year growth of long hair into a neat, clean, and stylish look, all in just an hour! Her attention to detail and care throughout the process made the experience enjoyable, and I’m really grateful for her hard work.

After my most recent haircut experience ending with me sobbing my eyes out in my bathroom, I was absolutely blown away by the skills, kindness, and education that Juby showed me while helping me achieve the hair of my dreams!
Not only was he extremely communicative and patient, but he took his time to understand exactly what I desired and, throughout the appointment, educated me on my hair's texture and needs.
As an autistic person, I get extremely nervous when getting haircuts. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they use extremely quiet hairdryers, and they even brought me tea, which eased my nerves. ♡
Overall, this was one of the best hair salon experiences I've had in a very long time, and I look forward to coming back to Juby for my next hair adventure!

I was in Vancouver for just a few hours and badly needed a haircut. They were able to take me as a walk-in, and thank goodness they did! I had such a pleasant experience at the salon. Kaii cut my hair and Vincent washed it first, and then styled it after the cut. They were so friendly and professional. The washing included a scalp massage from Vincent, which was fantastic. I wish this salon weren't a 5 hour plane ride from home, or I would definitely become a regular. Thanks, Kaii and Vincent! You two make a great team.

I’ll try to base my review on others because this place was recommended by a few friends. This was my first time at any barber shop because I didn’t have time to book an appointment with my normal person, I had an unexpected day off and really wanted a haircut. Well, I suppose it’s normal for a barbershop but I’ve never been in so much pain getting a cut before. The back of my head/neck was so red I was surprised it wasn’t bleeding as the guy went fast and rough. He actively tried to not give a complete haircut as he didn’t even bring out scissors until I saw he was trying to finish up and then requested he do so. I understand they are busy and speed is the name of the game. The most astonishing thing to me is men pay $30+ for 13min (I asked around and this is normal). But, like I said, this place was recommended to me by more than 1 person. They are clearly very popular and they are quite welcoming upon entry to myself and to all who came in even though they’re so busy. I’m clearly not a barbershop type of guy.

I was very happy with my medium undercut from Leo. He works quickly but still incorporates the details and nuances that seperate a great cut from a good one. I'll definitely be back.
Heisman Barbers is my go to for a professional cut. They know the lastest styles nothing they cant facilitate. Sal's attention to detail and consistency keeps me coming back every week. Recently I have taken my 3 year old son and his gentle approach and fresh styles has my son leaving happy and confident he enjoys coming back.

Amazing service and their cleanliness is top notch! I had my gel pedicure done by Alice, and she is very meticulous with her work and pays high attention to detail. She always checked to make sure I was satisfied with my nails. Price is on the more higher end, but their services are so worth it. Will definitely come back here when I’m visiting Vancouver.

Update in 2024: Back here after moving back to Van and Iris does it again. She is amazing! I’ve been to many nail salons (both Japanese and North American techniques) in Toronto downtown and Calgary and nothing beats her skill. These are the only nails that will stay on 2+ months. Not to mention the best customer service. Can’t recommend more highly enough!

I’ve been coming here for the past year, and I usually go to Veronica for my nails. However, since she is currently on mat leave, I had Suzy do my nails instead. She was so good!! I was very impressed by not only her customer service, but also her skill set in providing nail care. She gave great advise when I was choosing colours based on what type of nail style I wanted to get. She was incredibly meticulous in making sure every single step was done to perfection. I’ve now added Suzy to my list of go-to’s next time I come back for nail service :)

I was overdue for some foot/toenail care and on a recommendation I booked an appointment and after a short wait I was beckoned to my chair. I will just say that the technician was friendly, thorough, attentive and sensitive to my comfort level. I am from out of town and usually get my nails done in Surrey when I am in town. Then my aunt mentioned there was one around the corner from where we stayed. Good thing I tried it out. The staff was so wonderful and did the best job on my manicure and pedicure than I have ever had in my life. Emily and Julia I think were the 2 ladies that took care of me. I was so so happy with the job they did. The gentleman that was at the front desk (maybe the owner, not sure) was hilarious and definitely a sales person. I never get a manicure because I can do it myself. But he talked me into it and even got gel nailpolish which I never use on my finger nails. Will be coming back to them every time I am in town now.

Ire did such a wonderful job with my hair - both the cut and the colour. At each step, she explained things very thoroughly and always made sure I was happy with the direction before continuing. She was very knowledgeable with colouring; she explained how the coloured hair would look now, in the future, and how it would work on your own hair. It wasn't one of those salons where you show them the photo, they do it, and off you go - Ire explains how that colour would work for you specifically. And because seemed so knowledgeable and genuine, she made the whole process so comfortable. I trusted her judgement and my hair turned out so well! Really recommended!!

I've been to Allranell a few times, mostly because I received a gift certificate from a friend. I haven't had their pedicures but I've heard from knowledgeable sources that they do one of the best pedicures around. I have had waxing done and I absolutely recommend their waxing services. I never felt overly self-conscious, especially considering the area I was having waxed. They were very good about making me feel comfortable and that I didn't feel any unnecessary pain. Also, throughout the experience, I never felt any pressure to buy products of any kind from them. My only complaint is that occasionally, it seems reception isn't quite sure what they're doing and/or they're not sure how long to book appointments for, as they seem to run late-ish.
Got referred by my friend, I have been with this spa for since few years before covid. Their environment is clean, neat and nice so you can be worry free when being in there. Strongly recommend Nancy with her skillful hands for any service! She is just amazing with alot of massage knowledge. Others like Amy & Cherry & Ruby are all very good too. I hired The Love Team after two of my good friends did the same for their weddings. April was professional, cleanly and easy to communicate with. I asked her to make a few changes after my hair and makeup trial and I think my wedding day look was very pretty. What impressed me most was how long the makeup and hair lasted. I cried, I put my veil in and took it out, and put sunglasses on and off several times. My makeup remained flawless and my hair looked immaculate from 10am to midnight. Same with my bridesmaids. I would recommend The Love Team for any big event in your life.

A bit of a messy project, clearing the downstairs drain pipe from laundry through kichen through shower. I had spent 3 days trying to handle on own before making the call.
Plumber was very competent, carefully listened to my description, cleared the pipe completely, then &@! :) explained everything I needed to understand to prevent a recurrence. Everything!
Charge was $300 +; steep, but slightly lower than others.
Thanks to other reviewers’ input, I could find a reliable, reasonable, local and smaller scale company to do this work.

As a homeowner in Richmond, BC, my realtor recommended Nightingale Electrical when I first bought my house and I have used them for all of my electrical needs. Recently I had to call them as one of my circuits was burned out and my fridge was not working. They responded very promptly and fixed my issue in the same afternoon! What a fantastic cleaning I received!! Andreas from green dragon was able to come quickly, arrive on time, and give our floors an amazing clean. It was so well priced and he worked so hard. They were great at communicating and I knew just what to expect. He went above and beyond with these little corner protectors for my wall. And they used decorators from their store to lay the floors. Flexible and easy communication - Tony arranged my 2nd supply with their delivery to other customer so I can pick them up to save me half way drive to Richmond.
We got carpet at good price, delivery on time as requested, returning of unused underlay was also easy, check price with disount carpet before buying carpet from anywhere.
We had our laminate floors replaced and walls painted with the Reno stars team. Highly recommend them for their professionalism and very good communication from beginning to end. They gave a very fast quote and started within a month and completed the project almost a week ahead of schedule. They were also very good at checking in after everything was done and making sure any deficiencies are addressed right away. They were very accommodating of our needs as we had a lot of furniture and continued to live in the house as they were working and even had a big dog in the house.

We purchased our house a year ago and have been enjoying our radiant floors. One day during the cold snap, we noticed that the floors weren't emitting any heat. AB Tech was recommended by a friend of ours so I called Bruce and explained the situation. Good news/bad news: it was a Friday and he was in the middle of a big job and couldn't come until Monday. Then an hour later, he called to say he was breaking away from the big job to come look. He noted that the boiler wasn't serviced in a while and the pilot needed replacing. He spent a couple hours on this when I know he had to get back to the big job, but he was committed. He just came back today to finish the service. I'm grateful to Bruce and his crew for taking the time to help us. It would have been a cold weekend.

The doctors and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend choosing this clinic. Other clinics such as the powerhouse in Vancouver is a rip off and barely do a 2 minutes checkup and charge you $70. This place is highly recommended.
I began bringing my kids to Dr. Bonnie around the age of 4 and 5. I was noticing my son would run into walls a lot (resulting in huge welts right on his forehead) and originally just thought it was clumsiness. Some further research showed that some Chiropractic adjustments could actually help reduce these kinds of trips/falls and I was happy to find Dr. Bonnie as I felt very comfortable with her treating my children. She thoroughly assessed my kids, and noted that he had one leg longer than the other (which means he was probably tripping over himself, literally, all this time)! We met with her just for several sessions where she re-aligned him and we have not had issues since! My kids are now 9 and 10, and we schedule to see her anytime the kids have bigger-than-usual falls or trip ups, so we usually schedule an appointment for times when we have noticed the kids playing a little more rough on the soccer field or more falls in gymnastics, just to get them realigned. We are so grateful for how she's always so thorough each session and Seema, the receptionist is also very welcoming and friendly! They always give my kiddos a treat when we leave, which of course, the kids love.
Just finished my chiro appointment with Bill today. My rotator cup hurt a lot of after tennis a few days ago. I went to see a physio and told him that it seems something was out of alignment. After the treatment , it didn’t get better. I went to see Bill (he fixed my hip problem previously) today and he fixed my rotator problem instantly. I couldn’t even lift up my shoulder before the treatment. Now I can move my shoulder freely (still a little sore which is normal). Thank you , Bill.

I took my corgi here for a deep dental cleaning this week. I have to say it was a great experience. Dr. Chaudhry was very knowledgeable and professional and the price was reasonable. My dog was taken good care of and she recovered quickly from the pain of one tooth extraction. I also have two cats that may need dental cleaning too. Will come back again for the great service.
We knew today was going to be one of our family's saddest days as we had to say "Until we meet again." to our 16 year old dog, Cara. Dr. Regan Schwartz and her team were wonderful throughout this very sad but necessary process. Dr. Schwartz explained to us the entire procedure and made sure Cara would be well taken care of and be as comfortable as possible. They were very compassionate and gave us all the time we needed to say our good byes. Thank you to everyone at RAPS for making sure Cara's final journey with us was as good as it could be given the circumstances.
Although we live in downtown Vancouver we're going to make the trip here as finally there is a veterinary hospital that places care and compassion above money.

My dog has anxiety and I was expecting him to be upset when I picked him up, but he was surprisingly calm.I wanted to keep the length for an upcoming event and Cilie did a spectacular job! Cilie spent so much time carefully untangling my shihpoo’s knots. His paws were all soft and fluffy after and he looked so well groomed. It was beyond my expectations! I've been to a few groomers in Richmond, and this one is the best?. Cream is a very scared puppy. Cream always came home shaking violently after going to a few Groomer, but for the first time, she played well even after being groomed. I've received treatments from a few different RMTs, they've all been excellent, but for the past many many years I've only been booking with Carina. I was sorry to have to leave the RMT I had been seeing before moving to Richmond, but Carina is excellent and made me glad I had to move - she is the best! I feel like brand new with every treatment. Early on, I addressed some concerns with my skin (eczema) and energy concerns, and over the past three years, Dr. Lee has helped improve my gut health significantly with things like elimination diets and supplement recommendations. As a naturopath, Dr. Lee's approach is thorough—always considering my lifestyle in its entirety, which makes me feel understood and heard. Even when I did an elimination diet for 3 months (which was challenging as I had to cut out some of my favourite foods), I didn't struggle as badly as I thought, as Dr. Lee had educated and prepped me on the benefits and expectations of an elimination diet as much as he could. I had issues with my stomach for an unknown reason. After cupping Doctor Ivy noticed that I have issues with my liver and gallbladder.
After 6 session of acupuncture and Cupping my stomach is much better.
Forget those western medicine. They only treat symptoms, but not the root cause.

Wow, this was one of the best massages I've ever had! I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it's been tough to find a massage place that does deep tissue work with this much commitment. I love it when the masseur is very hands-on and gives it their all. Usually, I'm not sure if I feel any better after a massage, but this place really helped. They did an awesome deep massage that made my stiff shoulders and neck feel very relaxed. I'll definitely go back and I highly recommend them if you've been frustrated by other lacklustre experiences.
This is a hidden gem in the heart of Richmond. The practitioner (Da Shu) is very welcoming and professional with a great deal of Chinese chiropractic and cupping expertise. My first cupping has been an eye-opening experience for me and that treatment has greatly helped with my shoulder and back issues. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
