I had a herniated disk (L3-L4). I believe it was around 2019 - 2020 - I forget, somewhere around there. I was in SO SO much pain that I could not even walk without crutches. I felt so helpless. one day I'm leading a perfectly normal life. the next day I sat on the couch to put my shoes on, and I must have just, idk, flopped myself like I have been doing my whole life on the couch, and BINGO, herniated disk! I no longer live that carefree life of just flopping my body on the couch ever since. I'm careful when faced with sitting down on the couch or anywhere. anyway, life the way it was was at that moment going to stay that way; although my physician had booked me to get a cortisone shot and said that he 99.9% thought that would cure it, I really didn't believe it. so it was a cortisone shot or surgery, and when I had my appointment with the neurologist, he looked and was SO young. I'm serious, he reminded me of my son's friends. it was around lunchtime and I thought to myself, I'm almost positive this neurologist had a juice box packed in his lunch. in the meantime before my cortisone shot and appointment with neurologist, I was in SO much pain that nothing could touch it. I was so desperate, I thought what could I do? it was then I thought of a chiropractor. they'd been very effective in my past, why not at least try. I didn't have coverage but I was so desperate that I said to myself, I don't care, I'm doing it anyway. it wasn't that expensive either. I can't remember which physician I had my appointment with, but he was the manager of the whole place. I had to take a taxi to the office, and the office was only two small, city blocks away. I had now additional pain from using the crutches underneath my arms. when I left the office a half hour later, my pain was still there, but the difference was absolutely INCREDIBLE. and this physician was incredible, too! I got that he was really empathetic and I think I'm a pretty good reader of people ☺️ so if you are looking for a beautiful and professional atmosphere, with very experienced physicians check out FAMILY CHOICE CHIROPRACTIC - you won't be disappointed 😉
