I have been wanting to take the Thai Massage course for over a year now, but nothing felt right until I spoke with Vern. Her calming and grounding demeanor was the warm welcome my body and spirit needed to say YES to finally taking the course. And I am so so glad I chose to learn and work with Vern. Her passion for Thai Massage does not go unnoticed and she helped me fall in love with a practice that will be a part of my life for the rest of my days. The Savoy was the last stop for our family on a cross Canada road trip on our way home. The Savoy couldn’t have been a better choice. Modern and stylish but the bed was ultra comfortable and the room had every amenity. Slept like a baby. We immediately talked about coming back for a longer stay for some summer hiking and winter skiing.

The Savoy, a nicely renovated boutique hotel, has compact and very comfortable rooms with state of the art shower/sauna stalls, towel and floor heat in the bathroom, and very comfy beds. Great a/c and the choice of opening windows. Rooms are on the second floor, up 2 flights - no elevator but we found it quite manageable. Centrally located, with an easy walk to pubs/restaurants, shopping/points of interest and the market. Great lounging area on the rooms floor, as well as a rooftop area with hot tub and seating which we found lovely for evening lounging. Staff were very friendly and the manager, Ben, extremely helpful with any questions we had. Although there is no morning restaurant on site (but you will have a Nespresso machine to get you going), both the Dominion Cafe and Re-lish are open early and just down the block. We found both restaurants outstanding. We would definitely return to the Savoy..
