What a wonderful experience we've just had! We finally made the uncomfortable, rather embarrassing (to us) decision to bring someone in to help us with tasks around our condo. We both have physical limitations that have resulted in the housework getting away from us.A quick reply to my first inquiring email, and a very sympathetic, understanding and non-judgmental phonecall later and we were setup for the first visit.Oh my!! The first visit was awesome. The young lady who came did more in two hours than I can do in two weeks. She had swept and washed all our floors, stripped and remade the beds, taken all the accumulated garbage and recycling out, and I can't remember what else.To say we are "happy" with the service is a severe understatement. We would cheerfully recommend Emerald Maid Service to family, friends, and strangers.
Drew and his crew at Starke Contracting LTD were great to deal with. They were professional, punctual, and most of all, they were personable. Drew met with us to discuss our project (remodelling a shed, and building our dream deck), and not only was he able to turn our ideas into a physical reality, he added some beautiful touches of his own. They are a truly talented bunch (just look at their photos online ?). Came in on time, and more importantly for us….on budget!! Highly recommended!!! Give them a call, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

He is very professional and such a nice person. I am wanting to remodel my bathroom now because I have found such a gem of a contractor and I know this is not always the case. We worked with MJ Chahley Construction on a previous renovation so we contacted them to work on the renovation of our recently purchased home. We can't say enough good things about our experience with them. Their staff and subtrades were very efficient and professional. Mike and Lavona were very good at keeping everyone on schedule and ensuring that the site was kept clean and tidy. They also gave us some very helpful advice and design ideas when we were feeling a little overwhelmed by all the decisions. The work quality is excellent and we are very pleased with the results.

Best place to get your ear's lowered on Vancouver Island. Dan and his team will have you looking sharp and give that next level service mixed with an eclectic atmosphere. If Dan is booked all of his crew are more than competent especially Sab! She's definitely a close second to the big guy with the beard in expertise and quality. Try the skin fade or a straight razor shave if u want that next level barber experience.

The staff here are super friendly and helpful and answer all my questions no matter how silly they are. The studio is great, good atmosphere. So pretty much every aspect from the minute you open the door till the door closing behind you the staff here take care of you the customer.

As soon as you walk In the door you are greeted with professional level kindness, offered Coffee or tea how ever you take it and asked kindly to wash your hands and use the towels provided to dry. Personally I had Monika help me. She is incredibly good at what she does! I always feel like I can trust her judgment on what I need for up-keep on my nails :) I go regularly now! One of the best pedicures I’ve had! Hot stones , then followed by a deep massage on the soles of your feet up to your knees. Ending with a nice lather of oil and a hot towel. Highly recommend! My shellac polish manicure was perfect! Finally a salon that doesn’t goop on thick layers of gel! They are now my go to! 10 stars! ⭐️

I had the loveliest afternoon at Rozis day spa. She was so kind, warm and welcoming from the moment she greeted me at the door. She has a beautiful and clean private space in her home. It was a really nice and relaxing atmosphere and my body scrub, massage, and facial were amazing!! She was so attentive and detail oriented and made me feel so relaxed and special.

I felt an instant calm the moment I walked into Elements, with it's relaxing decor and warm, friendly staff. I was treated with an herbal tea while I waited for my hot stone massage (which I have never had before). Mila was amazing and she could totally read my body. Recently suffering from an injury, I feel (2 weeks later) completely realigned, my body hasn't felt this good in years. Raving about the whole experience would be an understatement. Be sure to treat yourself at Elements, you deserve it.
Time flew by which also means the pain wasnt what ive experienced in the past.

So incredibly impressed with Jordan and his team! Came home yesterday to our hot water tank leaking, and Jordan FaceTimed with me to show me how to turn it off - as well as got me in touch with Jason at PuroClean right away so we could start the drying process. Jordan + team came the very next day to remove the old tank and install the new one, and discovered we also had a pressure issue that might have contributed to the leak. He will always try his best to provide excellent customer service. I think that the people that complain probably don't have appropriate expectations when it comes to stain removal. I was recently moving to Nanaimo and needed to have carpet installed in the office as the existing carpet was ugly and had a huge hole cut in it for a treadmill. There was no point moving furniture into this room before the new install so I called Jordans Flooring and spoke to a man named Shawn. I explained my time crunch and that I wasn't currently in Nanaimo but needed to have the carpet installed as close to my move-in date as possible, as the furniture would have to sit in the garage until the flooring was done.
Shawn was awesome! He pre-booked me an install date and sent me an email with carpet suggestions. A couple weeks later I went to Nanaimo and he helped me pick out some beautiful carpet. He was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out something that suited my purpose perfectly. I love it!
Two weeks later a great guy named James came and did a wonderful job of laying the carpet and I was able to move my furniture into the office, in a VERY timely fashion.
Last week my mother decided she wanted a new area rug so I sent her to see Shawn - I told her she would be very happy with Jordans. She found something she was pleased with and the price was great!
I highly recommend Jordans Flooring no matter what your needs are (I have previously bought vinyl planking from them and loved it!) They are very knowledgeable and customer service driven. You can't go wrong dealing with them.
We had 3 quotes provided to purchase and install carpet. End of the Roll came in the middle of them, but we felt more comfortable with End of the Roll. Lianne was friendly and a pleasure to deal with and Dave the installer was also friendly and did a perfect job and great clean up!

I am very happy with the lovely countertop installed earlier this past summer by the pros at Colonial. I really love the material and style of this countertop, and especially the backstop, the edge design and the special end corner curved finishing piece that makes my countertop look so unique. Most homeowners have a renovation story. This one has a happy ending. For context, our reno was all interior and mostly cosmetic, but extensive. We updated every surface of the home including a redesigned kitchen and primary bathroom and added several architectural details.
Reno’s take time and usually run over budget. It’s impossible to know all the challenges you will face until you see what’s behind the walls, ceiling and floors. Add to this, the challenge of getting the trades you need, precisely when you need them. While not easy to manage, as home owners we still expect good quality workmanship completed in a timely manner.
Our project turned out beautifully with Alair Homes. Yes, it took extra time to complete but there were contributing factors including changes to the scope by us. From start to finish we had strong confidence in the people and process of Alair. Stu Hopewell and his team have a talented network of subtrades. They kept an open and honest dialogue with us throughout the project. The Alair process includes real-time access to the project spend and transparent view of each sub trade and supplier invoice which provided further comfort. Alair also took full accountability when a couple things didn’t go as promised and were very reasonable in resolving them to our satisfaction.
No renovation or contractor is perfect but this is our 5th major Reno and we can confidently say Alair has been one of the best.
It comes down to the people. Stu and his team are skilled and trustworthy - the two most critical requirements for any home renovation project. If you are considering a Reno, we highly recommend Alair.

Drew and his crew at Starke Contracting LTD were great to deal with. They were professional, punctual, and most of all, they were personable. Strain Landscaping has provided multiple services in our backyard renovation. They created a patio with drainage, levelled a large sloped yard into two sections - a large lawn with landscaping beds and a garden with raised beds, and installed irrigation for the whole yard. We called Spencer at Flex Tree Service about trimming back some trees close to our house and other higher risk trees.
Spencer came for a site visit and quote within a few days and spent a good amount of time checking the area and discussing many matters of tree health.
They completed the work over two separate days and we are very happy with the results. They safely removed all trees and branches some of which were close to the house and lines.
Spencer took the time to discuss signs to watch regarding tree health and identified other trees for future attention.
We will have them back again in the spring.

An estimator came to my place to check out a group of 100+ft douglas firs and provided a quote shortly afterwards .
Compared to a few other quotes the price was lower and included more work and the quote was provided quickly. A few other well reviewed companies either didn’t bring the proper tools to measure when they were coming to provide an estimate or didn’t respond for a week or more after seeing the job .
The crew did a great job taking care of my home and property and the large trees were very large and in tight proximity to power lines and my house , they worked fast and they took care to clean up afterwards and did a great job .
I will use the company again in the future and highly recommend !

Dr. Sertic and Dr. Simmons are hands down best dentist I’ve seen. They are very understanding, caring, and accommodating. I have a phobia due to past experiences with other dentist’s and they have laid that to rest. I no longer go in full of anxiety and worry.

What originally brought you to the Lifehouse? I have a history of support from chiropractor since I was about 8 years old. I met Alfred a couple of weeks ago after a repeated neck injury. I had a lot of pain when moving my neck and I kept hurting it. After working with him and receiving Accupuncture and acupressure treatment, my pain completely went away and I feel stronger and more energized. I also have received some reiki sessions from him that I have absolutely loved. The energy that comes through is so gentle and loving. I had been dealing with sharp pain in my lower back for about 3 weeks, and no amount of rest, stretching, or pain killers was relieving it, in fact it was getting worse, extending into my glute and leg. I also have been dealing with my hands falling asleep at night for several months. After one acupuncture treatment this week, both the lower back pain and hands falling asleep have been resolved, immediately. My body is feeling free of pain at this moment.
