Pet Boarding Training in Maple Ridge

“Forgive the long post, but I wanted to share our amazing experience with Peter from Action K9.

We have a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix who we rescued at 8 weeks old. From day one, we struggled with recall, confidence, and walking. She learned the basics (sit, down, wait, leave it) through positive reinforcement, but outside of that, things were tough.

She wouldn’t go to the bathroom in public, wouldn’t take treats outside the house, was sometimes reactive (especially toward men), and completely refused to walk around the neighborhood — she’d pull, stop, or whip her head in the opposite direction. It was stressful and honestly embarrassing at times, and we basically gave up on walking her. After spending time with another dog who taught her some bad habits, we started looking into board and train programs. That’s when I found Peter.

Peter suggested starting with a single session to assess her before deciding on board and train. By the end of that first session, I saw her do things she had never done before. Peter told us she didn’t need a board and train and that we’d probably only need one more session.

Sure enough, after our second session, our dog completely turned a corner. We had just moved to a new neighborhood and she hadn’t peed or pooped since the move — that day, after training, she walked confidently around the block and went right in our yard!

Peter has so much knowledge about both dog and human psychology, and it shows. Our dog feels like a completely new dog, and it’s taken a huge weight off our shoulders.

“If you are delivering a load here come to the back side of building they don’t have any docks they will unload you with a pallet jack and a forklift try to get here from 224 st and then right on brown ave it will be easier for you to back in“
