Athlete's Arena Maple Ridge is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy owned and led by a 2nd Degree Black Belt. The academy is an affiliate of the legendary Coral belt Helio Moreira Soneca. Offering a relaxed yet competitive environment, Athlete's Arena encourages members to push each other to improve. The gym does not support belt testing or fees for promotion, as Jiu-Jitsu is for anyone who believes in hard work and patience. Visitors are always welcome to train at no charge, and the open mats are free for the community. With a spacious, clean facility and a proper weight room, the academy also offers Kickboxing/striking classes. Described as having a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, the owners are praised for their supportive approach in helping each person achieve their goals.
