Granted I've been friends of family for years, but I drive a 10yr old Mercedes Benz and I know with proper care my investment will last another 10 years easily. That is why the service I expect and get is equivalent to that of any Mercedes dealership. Cars today are more complex and require a significant investment in diagnostic equipment. The Garage has all of this, therefore I receive a full diagnosis and inspection, even if the main event is the annual oil change.
