This is one of my favourite places on Earth. Whether I'm just enjoying the sauna rooms, participating in the deep stretch and sound healing beforehand, or getting a treatment afterwards, I always leave feeling refreshed, comforted, and more peaceful. I cannot recommend the Art of Sauna and Spa enough. If you aren't sure what treatment to get, the detoxifying body seaweed wrap treatment is my absolute favourite, and Andy is a real gem of a practitioner who is kind, respectful, professional, and very effective! My only complaint is that I can't go more often.

Love going to sauna. It’s the best place to get hot and cold. #RespectfullyMoneca #OmShanti #CollagenBabe #Biohacker #CosmicReporter

I’ve been coming to Art of Sauna since August 2023, since I got a 10 sauna pass & I come here on my days off from work. I go at least once a month. The front desk staff are approachable & friendly. The sauna facilities are next level, its like stepping into a variety of saunas from around the world. Its a worldly sauna experience. Most of the sauna staff are usually nice/friendly/approachable, except for one staff who is a white passing trans babe. She has long dark hair & has a hard stern not-so-friendly face. Whenever I come to Art of Sauna, I see her lecturing folks with her deep manly voice.. its the only reason why I realized she was trans. Her being trans is not an issue, but how she seems to be into bullying women in the baby boomer age every month that I go really bothers me. I dont say anything, because I can sense in her energy that she will fight me/kick me out of the sauna if I stand up for these women, but a space intended for relaxing becomes a not so relaxing space to go too if you are a consistent witness of these tense interactions. This particular staff actually makes booking at Art of Sauna nerve-wrecking/less exciting. It makes me look forward to using up all my sauna pass and go to other hot & cold treatment sauna options available around Vancouver. I’ve witnessed really good looking muscular men break protocols in the sauna the months that I go there. Usually in the Himalayan Salt room where they would put their feet on the Himalayan salt walls, I usually see her being aware of it during her shift, but she seems to make the choice of giving them the blind eye for it. While boomer ladies who have their flipFlops off while lying down on the floor of the Himalayan Salt room, who are respecting the rule of not touching/ leaning on the Himalayan Salt room walls get demanded to have their flipFlops on at all times, even while lying down on their towel. Im an Asian millenial expressing my concern as a witness of the constant rude interactions she engages in w/ unsuspecting boomer folks every month that I go to Art of Sauna. I understand that as customers, we have protocols we have to follow w/ using the sauna facilities & that some folks dont read the protocols in the sauna space. But the tone of voice she has to folks just is rude/disrespectful. Ever so often, I would see these boomer women/couples who are the receivers of tis attitude from her get out of the sauna room they got lectured at, and privately have a word w/ her, usually requesting her to be nicer/more respectful w/ her tone of voice/communication.. but it seems like every month that I go, the same drama w/ different folks take place. She seems to actually love bullying women as some assertion of dominance. The facilities is definitely a 5-star and so are the rest of the approachable/friendly staff.. but that long dark haired with a hard stern face staff in the sauna facilities who me & my friends call Vibe killer deduct stars to our Art of Sauna experience.
