My elderly aunt recently moved to the area. She has a 17 yr old dog that is the last remaining part of her independent life. As Alzheimers has taken control, she forgets her dog was seen by the Dr and insists I make appointments for the same ailments on a regular basis. Despite the same issue every visit, everyone at Sabino Veterinary Care are patient and so kind to her. Of course, her dog is treated very well, with a thorough exam. Every time, she is provided a compassionate explanation of the exam results. I realize it is probably a pain to go through this but, it would be too hard to tell my aunt she can't take her dog to the vet when she has a concern, real or imagined....read full review

Dr. Monterosso is the best. She always listens carefully and does a meticulous exam. Her recommendations and prescriptions are science based and include supplements when feasible. The clinic is spotless and the front desk people are pleasant and helpful. I recommend this clinic without reservation.

We recently added one handsome and sweet rescue German Shepherd to our family. It's been some 21 years since we've shared our home with dogs, so were not quite sure where to go for the initial consultation. We chose Sabino Veterinary Care simply because it was convenient on Sabino Canyon Road, and are delighted we did. The office staff is excellent, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely interested in the "clients" that walk in their door. The technicians are competent but know their limitations, yet have a lot of knowledge.
