First off, I am not a fan of getting emails from Arizona Eye Institute promoting Dr. Justo's book. This seems highly in appropriate. This is a business for eyes not your book agenda. I did not go here to get regular emails about your book. My husband and I both went here for our eye exams. The provider that I saw seemed dis interested with the care he gave me. I felt it was odd the optometrist did not actually do most of the exam it was the assistant. He seemed very casual and basically said nothing changed. My husband had a similar experience but he sought a second opinion (out of pocket due to spending our benefits here) and was told he had some change and that was why he was getting headaches.
I went to this place for annual eye exam and I didn't know I had Eye Med insurance so I gave them my blue cross blue shield so they filed under specialist, and they collected $40 co pay instead of regular annual exam from eye med for $20 I called BCBS and they told me I have eye med insurance for my eye. I went back to tell them but they refused to file for eye med because they would get less money.. This place is very dishonest, and their employees in front are very rude.I would never go there again even for free service. They must be hard up for money, any chances they get they will charge an arm and leg as so called specialist so they can get more money from insurance .
Great exam and prescription until it was time to leave. The prescription was not given to me by the eye doctor's staff. It was shot to a printer of an eye glass business in the same facility. I left without a prescription. I know another patient with a similar problem. Is it to discourage comparison shopping? Older patients do not have the energy to fight this. This is against the law. Look below. The Federal Trade Commission enforces the Eyeglass Rule. It requires eye doctors -- ophthalmologists and optometrists -- to give patients a copy of their prescription - whether they ask for it or not. It's the law.
