“We just moved to the Scottsdale area from Illinois and I knew I needed a new local vet for general checkups for my dog, but my dog was also having some GI issues and constant soft stools for (probably) months before us moving here which in turn just got worse due to the stress from the move.I had taken my pup to our vet back home before moving here in which I was basically told to just try out different brands/flavors of food and do the "elimination method" to find the cause, and the general fecal sample test in which nothing ever came about - I felt like I was brushed off.I decided to give Scottsdale Animal Healthcare a shot based off of the great Yelp reviews I saw online, and literally from the moment that the receptionist picked up the phone when I called I knew I chose the right place to try. I believe I spoke to Kylie the receptionist who was extremely nice and I felt like she actually cared about my dog when I was explaining my pups situation to her, and I even got a same day appointment that evening.Upon arriving to their facility every single staff was so warm and welcoming, coming out to say hi to my pup and giving her lots of praise/treats. We had nurse Bailee and Dr. Rice, both of whom were AMAZING, and they listened to every single word I said/background of my dog before explaining our options for testing. They both got down to my pup's level and sat down on the floor with her to make her more comfortable as she was a little stressed from the new environment, and they both couldn't have been more friendly and patient with my girl. We received a printed out quote/cost breakdown of the cost that everything would be that they recommended for my pup before asking us for a decision which was great, and we received our results very quickly a few days after our appointment with a thorough breakdown email from Dr. Rice.I would 100% recommend trusting Dr. Rice and the team here with the care of your animals, and will absolutely be a returning client without even attempting to try anywhere else! “It’s been almost 5 months since my 8 year old pittie had her bilateral TPLO surgery done by Dr. Lirtzman. I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the consultation, to the final follow up, Dr. Lirtzman and all of the staff provided exceptional service, and they made sure I understood what was going on throughout the entire process. We had a smooth recovery, and I appreciated the photos of my pup while she was in their care the first couple of days following the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Lirtzman!“

“I don’t normally write reviews unless I strongly feel the need. This vet clinic was great. I am new to the state and did not have a home vet for my cats. I also had a general concern for my cats before even being a patient that they were able to talk about with me over the phone. I really appreciated that. I then set up an appointment for general wellness and the two girls I had today were so sweet and helpful, it genuinely made me enjoy my time and my cats felt very comfortable. Doctor McBroom and Alexis sat on the floor with them while they did the exam/checkup which made my cats feel more at ease, even with noise coming from other rooms. My Siamese is very skeptical of other people and he even rubbed up on Doctor McBroom which truly shows how comfortable he felt with them on the floor. The girls were very friendly and funny which felt like a breath of fresh air compared to other vets I’ve had. Prices are what you expect for a general checkup, about $75 per cat. Great and genuine advice was offered, and I am glad to have a secure point of contact for all my pets’ needs. Previous vets that I’ve had would focus more on money/selling products and quick in and out time. Highly recommend Grayhawk“

“Dr. Pruitt is the most compassionate and caring vet. He has taken the time to care for both of my dogs, identifying a life threatening condition in one allowing us to get the emergency surgery she needed to survive. I cannot recommend him enough. He has worked overtime to care for my pets during overnight stays and just truly beyond thankful.“

“We had been going to another vet in town but felt they were being a little dismissive about an on going issue with my dogs paws. So we decided to give Hillside a try. My neighbors dogs go here and their previous dogs as well, and they've always raved about the care here. Well, we were really impressed. Everyone from the two men at the front desk (sorry, I forgot everyones names, I promise to be better), the vet tech and the vet herself were super friendly and thorough. They went above and beyond and we really appreciate the care they provided. It was such a great experience! You (and your pet) won't be disappointed if you go here. “Dr Koch has provided very good care for Gigi my Bouvier Des Flandres. She needed surgery on her foot last week and I was able to get her in and surgical procedure same day. Dr Koch called during surgery to let me know what she found and how she was doing. Unfortunately she chewed her stitches because I did not want to use a cone and did not think it would be a problem. When I called Tia to see if I could send photos to have the Dr Koch review them, she got me in right away. They bandaged her foot nicely and I returned today for a check and rebandage. Dr Koch told me by Thurs she may not need another. Very easy to talk with and understand. Top Notch Drs and Staff .I feel like we are in very good hands. Thank you for the great care you give us.“
