This place is so behind the timesI was underwhelmed by the lack of knowledge from the optometrist/ophthalmologist I think they all have been there too long and need to hang it up and retire!! The Dr actually asked me "Why do you want a 2nd opinion?" What!?!?!? I felt like I was in an alternate universe!No real attempt to win me over !Very unimpressive...;(

I was referred to Dr Thomas by my physician. He refused to look at my eyelid, because I did not need an eye exam and I do not need glasses or contacts. I spent almost two hours in his office just to receive his refusal to help me.

Being new to the area i wanted to find a eye care specialist being diabetic i chose Rider Thomas eye care located on 3rd st in Phoenix. Went in for an exam got a new prescription had two glasses made regular and sunglasses after hetting them i couldn't see things sharp and clear my 3 year old glasses were clearer and sharper so i went back for recheck they said my stigmatisum was off and gave me corrected prescription wemt had those made with same result still couldn't read street signs while driving went back to consualt with doctor (i believe) Thomas he insisted my prescription was correct but wouldn't answer my simple question "why can i see clearer and sharper out of my old glasses than my new prescription. After getting a bunch of word salad i requested a refund of 835 dollars.The cost of new lens since both prescritions were faulty He then told i received the best vision care possible i guess thats why i can't see clearly out of the new lenses. It upsets me that they would not take take responsibility thelBotched prescription living off of social security the loss of 835 dollars realy hurts. Dont wast your time or money going there i went to Moon Valley eye care where they got it right on the first try i highly recommend Moon Valley eye where the inital eye exam was a lot more thorough than Risser Thomas
