    NOT HAPPY WITH THE PETELINE PEORIA EYE CENTER! I went in for an eye exam on June 22 and informed them I was leaving the country for a few weeks at the end of July. Glasses came in a week later so I was happy. Then when I went in to pick them up, I found they expected me to read with the material I'm reading 4 inches from my eyes. The Dr. had asked during the exam where I hold what I'm reading and I showed him. Evidently I should have brought a tape measure with me because he was way off. Then when trying to see distance, I found that was off as well. I explained during the exam that I currently use readers and I where them low on my nose so I can see over the readers for distance. Nothing was wrong with distance until I tried to use the glasses. So they set up another appointment. They wanted to set it about the 19th of July and I reminded them it wouldn't leave time before leaving the US so it was set for the 5th of July with a different Dr. Came in on July 5th, went through the exam again and was told they would call me when they came in. I tried calling on July 19th to check on the status and only got a control center that transferred me to the Peoria location. Once their phone answered, I was given a recording of how my call is very important to them and to leave a message and that they would get back to me. I waited three hours for a return call so I called the control center again where the lady I was speaking to stated that she was going to contact the Peoria office and that I should receive a call in the morning because she was making this a priority. I didn't receive any call on July 20th so at 4:30pm I called the control center again where I was transferred to the Peoria center where again I heard the wonderful message of how important my call is. I called the control center back and explained that nothing had changed and I still hadn't gotten any information. I was transferred to a manager who finally was able to say that my glasses should be in on July 25th. I picked them up on the 26th and being told that I would have to get used to them, I left. I wore them all day and they still weren't right. I have to hold what I am reading inches from my face and that was not what I asked for. I called the center again only to be transferred again. I spoke with the lady that presented my glasses to me and I explained they still aren't right. Again they were saying they will see what they can do. Meanwhile I'm expected to just continue using store bought readers on my trip because Peteline Eye can't seem to get it right. I returned on August 20th and went to Peteline Eye to enquire if my glasses had come in during my three weeks away, I'm told "let me check and to have a seat while she checks." While sitting at the fitting table, I hear the lady speaking to someone on the phone asking for the status of my glasses. At this point I'm done. I left disgusted with their lack of service. I started on June 22nd with the initial eye exam and they failed to get the prescription right. Took a second eye exam on July 5th and it still was not correct. They could not provide me with correct glasses by July 31st when I was scheduled to leave on vacation so I was forced to use simple readers. Returned on August 20th and when I went in on August 22nd to check back and they still did not have them. That's two full months of waiting and they still did not have them. They fail in every sense from being able to return simple phone calls to providing glasses within a two month time frame. I would rate them a "0 stars" if it was available. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone.

    I scheduled an appointment on 5/17/22 for 6/16/22. They put me down for 6/9/22 by their mistake, and never sent a text or called to confirm and never called when I "missed" my appointment, only sent an email saying I missed the appointment. I never had any missed calls. Then I get there today and they say they can't squeeze me in until 3 hours later even though they had an open 10:45 slot and I only needed a routine eye exam and contact lenses. Really unprofessional front desk staff who kept blaming me for "missing the appointment" when they put me down for the wrong day and then never called to confirm, never called on 6/9 at the alleged appointment time, and only sent an email the following day. Will never go back here.

    This vision center had a name change/ownership change and since this took place their service is horrible. You call into a central line who transfers you to 1) a voicemail - and nobody calls you back, 2) a line that rings, then gives you a busy signal and disconnects, or 3) the central line customer service has to create a "task" for them to call you back. So I wait. They were ordering frames so my son can try them on for his prescription sunglasses, we were told this would take three or four business days and it's been three weeks. No callback. No update. And still no regular everyday glasses for either of us! Since this ownership changed the service sucks. For the high cost of their optical options, I expect high end service. Our next time will not be with this optical group. For goodness sake - call with an update if you're behind!
