Heidi is my physical therapist and I find her to a excellent therapist in her profession. By the time I leave from my hour session I'm feeling far less pain and discomfort. And her team members follow procall at all even time.
The photo I posted is What brought me to Empower Physical Therapy. The photo was taken on December 4, 2023. My Overall Balance and my outlook on life has gotten better. My cognitive skills have developed from being unfocuses, and forgetful to being able to think clearly again. I recently experienced my Mental capabilities improving as my physical training was the focus. Empower Physical Therapy has brought my life closer to where it use be .
I injured myself on Feb. 6, 2024 waking up to excruciating pain in my right hamstring. The next day, some numbness had set in. I initially thought as a trail runner I had a slight tear in my hamstring, but thought that to be unlikely as I did not have a hard workout the weekend prior. I saw my primary care physician who referred me to Empower PT. Their office is conveniently located right off 59th Ave. close to the 101. Tons of ample parking and easy to find in a relatively large medical complex. I was contacted immediately once my referral was received and scheduled 1 day later. Their lobby / entryway is super clean and spacious. All of my info was at the front desk and they were ready to begin assisting me! I was introduced to Nikki Czekaj, my physical therapist. She took soooo much time to listen to me about my injury. She knew exactly what was going on iny body and her plan of attack to assist me getting back to 100% and back on the trails. She took time to explain the exercises, we did them together and she even did conservative light massage efforts and stretches. I've been to a physical therapist in the past where they print out some exercises and put you on a stationary bike or treadmill with no hands-on. Heck, the last PT I went to at another local clinic three years ago didn't even touch me! Nikki at Empower PT was the exact opposite and helped me incredibly. If it were not for her, I would not be anywhere near the condition I am right now. Nikki said 6 to 8 weeks before I'm likely back to feeling 100%. I'm heading into week 7 and am soooo close to being at the same condition I was prior to my injury in early-February. Aside from some numbness in my right hamstring, I am pain-free. I ran /walked for 80-min. yesterday and did approx. 5.3 mi. This doesn't sound earth-shattering, but 7 weeks ago I could hardly walk nor stand due to the pain shooting down both hamstrings. I am no longer seeing Nikki as she stated time will inevitably heal the numbness making it subside. I cannot thank her and the entire staff at Empower PT for their solid execution for the care I received. No scheduling issues. No billing issues. No referral issues. Highly recommended if you're a local athlete in need of physical therapy!
