Word on the street (Phoenix pet people) is that Dr Mac is amazing with dogs but slightly less so with cats. He diagnosed our cat with constipation, sent her home with just the invoice/receipt but no notes, and didn't do the blood test that quite easily identified diabetes until $800 and about 30 hours later. :( They very nicely called ahead to a pet hospital in Phoenix, as she needed critical care but that vet was in GILBERT and is the best but Most Expensive in the valley! Do NOT feel bad about going to a closer place instead that is more affordable. It could be the difference between being able to afford to keep your pet alive. xoxo edit: I appreciated the honesty about needing to go to the Valley for more care but Gilbert is almost an hour further from Flagstaff to North Phoenix!

We love Midtown. My dog Zoroaster is EXTREMELY anxious and Dr Mac always does everything he can to mitigate his stress during appointments. Recently, Zoroaster started a new injectable medication for his hip dysplasia, the techs spent a ton of time going over everything with me and helping me learn to do it on my own at home. They are prompt with prescription refills and the front desk ladies are always so much fun and so kind.

The best vet in Flagstaff, maybe in Arizona, hands down. We started coming to Midtown when we started fostering a malnourished dumped hunting dog, and our usual vet couldn't get us in for 4 weeks. Midtown squeezed us in within days, and thank god they did, because turns out she was pregnant and had a beautiful, healthy litter of 8 puppies only 2 weeks later. After several vet visits for the 8 pups' vaccines, we started switching our 3 older dogs' care to Midtown as well. All 4 of our furry kiddos ranging from 2 to 13 years now go to Midtown, and they always get nothing short of the best care. Midtown is the vet to go to for your puppies, your seniors, your reactive dogs, and everything in between. Their attention to detail and "bedside manner" cannot be beat!
