Dr. Barnwell and Nelson are excellent. They took the time to really ask the right questions (and listen to my answers), then developed a realistic action plan. I've seen tons of pain doctors over the 30 years since my back injury, and Dr. Barnwell's practice is right at the top!

I have been seeing Dr. Barnwell for close to a decade now. She has always been compassionate, understanding, and a great diagnostician. Dr Barnwell is always taking the big picture into account and treats you as an individual and not as your illness(es). She makes certain that she understands what is going on and unlike some other rehab/pain doctors I have seen, she scripts sensibly, making certain that you are going to be comfortable without over prescribing. Dr. Barnwell and her office manager always respond to any issues that may arise in between appointments promptly. They do expect counts every visit and spreading occasional saliva tests as required to make certain you are compliant with dosing. She has my utmost gratitude.

I have been seeing Dr. Barnwell for several years now and have nothing but the utmost respect for the work she does. Unlike other pain management doctors I have see, she doesn't just throw copious amounts of medication at you for pain. She looks at your whole medical picture as well and how that impacts the situation as well. I would recommend her services to anyone in need of quality pain management.
