“I recently searched for a place to get haircuts for my boys in preparation for the new school year and came across this barber shop. After passing by it frequently, I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did.

I called ahead to confirm their Saturday hours since Google listed them as closing at 2 PM, while the Nextdoor app said 4 PM. They indeed close at 2 PM on Saturdays. We arrived around 12:50 PM and finished by about 3:12 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The wait was worth it.

My oldest son is thrilled with his fade haircut, and my youngest is happy with his trim. Both boys look very handsome. The older man did an excellent job with the fade, and the lady did a fantastic job with the trim. They truly did amazing work.

I highly recommend this barber shop. It’s a friendly, welcoming, veteran family-owned establishment with reasonable prices—$18 for each haircut. I also loved their decorations and the overall great atmosphere. It’s a very, very great place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back.

“Get your reservation for a super clean cut at Dark Fader Barbershop. While walk-ins are available, these folks seem to stay pretty tight with appointments - which I always make. Family-friendly environment (there were 4 little kids getting cut while I was there last) so the conversations don't always go down the stereotypical barbershop chatter. 5 barbers at the Gilbert location with another spot recently opening off Guadalupe and Horne in Mesa. I've seen at least 3 different barbers at the Gilbert location and every one has their own specialty/style - always delivering a top notch cut with hot towel and great attention to detail. Only place I get faded is at Dark Fader“

“My son moves a lot and is scared of the clippers since he has gotten nipped in the ear before (left a bad scar behind the ear). Because of how patient the stylist was with him and gentle is why I’m ratting it 4 stars.

My son loves his long hair and I had asked for just a clean up around made sure to let her know that my son really loves his long hair. I showed her the images of what I wanted the sides to be like and that I still wanted the back pretty long. She said it was simple and doable. When he was done I told her it was too short and that I understood that he moved but that the hair being that short was going to spike up and he doesn’t like that. She said she had to go shorter because he kept moving but couldn’t go closer to the scalp because of it as well.

When we got out side my son was really sad that it was that short from the back. After his shower he was really sad that it was too short from the front. I told him it’ll grow back we would just have to wait again till then.“

In the past, I have seen her at Sport Clips by Superstition Springs but now since she is on East Mesa by Signal Butte I wanted to go check out her new shop. A special amazing shout-out to her for ALWAYS going above and beyond my expectations. Nini is always sooo friendly, kind, polite, and her and I we ALWAYS have an excellent conversation.
