Northwest Medical Plaza is a medical facility that provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages. The staff is professional, sweet, caring, compassionate, and patient, making patients feel comfortable and cared for. The office offers a range of services, including preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services, as well as management and treatment of chronic illnesses. While the office may experience occasional hiccups, patients are overall pleased with the service. The medical team, including doctors and staff, are professional, personable, and patient-centered, making patients feel in good hands.
Very happy with this place, particularly with Dr. Vela and the staff in general. The staff is always very friendly and reachable whenever you have questions: A+. And Dr. Vela has been a great Primary Care doctor for over 3 years now, spending as much time as needed and truly listening to your concerns and giving great advice. Highly recommended place!
I just had my first visit to the clinic and Dr Vela and I could not be happier. The staff were so friendly yet very professional and check-in was easy and quick. The lab staff were also very friendly and efficient and the young lady who took my blood, Miss Andi, did a really good job and didn't leave a bruise. As for Dr Vela I wish I had him as my doctor 25 years ago. Dr Vela is literally the epitome of what I think a doctor should be, a good listener and a gentle guide who does not judge. I will continue to see him as long as I am able to. Thank you to all the staff at the clinic.
The care I received was excellent beginning with the receptionist, then with Misty (the MA) followed by Dr. Reed, and finally with Dionne at checkout. Dr. Reed is absolutely amazing!
The only problem I encountered was with the clinic’s scale which weighs 5 pounds above true. For me, this is critical because, as a 5’9” man, I am diagnosed as “obese” at 205 lbs. (BMI 30.27) and overweight at 203 lbs. (BMI 29.98). My true weight is 200 lbs. and the clinic scale weighed me at 205 lbs., resulting in a misdiagnosis of obese by Dr. Reed. This wrongful diagnosis excludes me from certain benefits and I am now going to have to go to Mercy for a proper diagnosis.
