My Sugarista, Hannah, is fantastic. Super nice, talkative (which is great to distract from the pain) and non-judgemental. As someone who is both overweight and trans, it is so important to find a place that is non-judgemental and she is great. And I always get the services I request.My only complaint is that the company itself imposes unrealistic time constraints on the Sugaristas. Especially for first time sugaring or people who are overweight, there should be exceptions to the tight time frames they have. I had been going to European Wax for the past several years and when my wax pass expired, I decided to give sugaring a try. Ellery was amazing. Sugaring not only hurt less but got everything that European wax would conveniently leave behind as “too stubborn,” “you need to exfoliate more,” “you’re not using our products or these roots would come out easier,” etc. (even though I did everything they said for years). My skin isn’t irritated and sore like waxing did either. I am absolutely switching permanently to sugaring with SugaringNYC.

Had my first appointment with Sugarista Joseline yesterday, perfect experience. I was super nervous, but she was so sweet and made it as comfortable as possible. Normally I do my own waxes using hard wax, but this is 100% preferred above that since I have sensitive skin. 10/10 all around. The environment is more welcoming as well than other places I’ve been to
