The proprietor is very friendly. In addition to shoes and boots, he sells other goods like leather belts. I ended up buying one of the belts and I'm regretting that I didn't buy two, because he might be retired by the time this belt wears out. He also does custom leatherwork. He was working on a nice holster when I came in. If you want crap that you will need to replace in a year, go to Wally World. If you want something that will last for a decade or three, go here.
