    This is one of Fort Smith's gems. It is a wonderful and inexpensive place to visit. They always have things going on. There's a free weekly Zoom sketch class online Tuesday nights. There are always fun and family-friendly events on Saturdays, Drop-in and Draw with live models on Thursday afternoons, a really excellent gift shop... I could go on and on. My advice to you is to stop by and take a look. I promise you'll be glad you did!

    If you’ve got 1-3 hours to fill, I recommend checking out this museum! The nicely maintained, quiet building is a perfect place to stop for a minute, catch your breath, and soak up some art. It’s VERY accessible - I use a walker and took my grandfather who uses a cane, and we were both able to view the entire museum and all exhibits with zero issues. There are a few places where the floor raises about an inch - like the gift shop - but otherwise the floors are flat, doorways wide, and the elevator can comfortably hold four adults.     Very accessible, free entry, does a good job giving history about the pieces and artists. Accessible bathrooms. Has some excellent porcelain work in the basement. I look forward to when the touch gallery will be able to be reopened.
