“I had used McMachon's twice before, once to have a chimney inspected and once to have two chimneys cleaned and they did an excellent job. We've since moved to a house with air conditioning ducts in the floor and felt that the years of dust collection should be cleaned out so we made an appointment for McMahon's to vacuum out and clean them. And once again, they did an excellent and thorough job. But, while moving things to get access to some registers one of their technicians found mold on the bottom and back of some pieces of furniture. He called the owner out to assess the best way to mitigate our problem. He was careful not to scare us too bad but his assessment came with a heath warning. We did an air quality test and several types of mold began to grow in the petridish. It was so gross and we had been breathing it. No wonder we both had developed respiratory problems. It was a nightmare but we followed Mike's, the owner's, advice and after removing everything from our home they cleaned it from ceilings to floor and absolutely everything in between with a sporeacidal solution. They treated the crawlspace and found the source of our problem so it won't ever happen again. It was all from a faulty drain line where water was standing and our cool air was blowing across the water just before entering the ductwork. It seemed expensive at first but after seeing what all they actually did, it ended up being a real bargain. Almost half the price of others that provide similar services and there's no way that the others could possibly do a better job. There were times when as many as 8 technicians were at our home working away. If I could give them 100 stars it still probably wouldn't seem like enough.Services: Mold inspection“
