Horrible business practice. I missed a half day of work for this service. They were scheduled to come to my home between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. They did not call within that time frame. I got a call at 3pm asking could they come take a look at my shower valve. Brandon came in took a glance at my shower and immediatly wrote a ticket for more than $800 to go from a dual to a single lever shower valve. I just felt awful knowing that I missed half a day of work and they didnt show up. When they came they wrote me a $80 dispatch fee... over charge and ridiculous dispatch fee even if they don't come when they're scheduled to show up
They hardly ever answer the phone. There prices are insane!! They quoted me a price if $975 to put in a ice maker line to my new ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer. I made the appt for them to return and install it. I called back later that day to cancel the return appt. I left a message I was cancelling the apt and that it was because the price was to expensive. Four days later the guy returns. I told him I already got it fix and for $70. They are rip offs.Plus they pre charged my credit card for $650. I will never use them again. I can not get them to answer the phone again to get them to credit me. I am sure they will try to charge me another service call.
$50 service call (under the guise of calling it a 'dispatch fee', then charges $157 to price the job on top of that claiming it's a small access charge, for 15 minutes, so regardless of it being a flat fee, I'll help with the math, that's $628 an hour rate before anything is even done - the explanation for this - to make sure we make money even if we don't do the job! Hold on, is that not the service charge/dispatch fee?? Call it what you want, but any ethical company charges a 'call out fee' by any name to price the job. Some are easier to diagnose than others - swings and roundabouts! But they are the assured of $50 flat wether they get the job or don't! That's ethics for you right there.. To be told I can't leave now until you've paid $207 BEFORE the job begins is wrong on every level, it FORCES you into having invested enough to not be able to not give them the job. I'd understand it more if they said, you have to pay that, but if we do the job, that amount is already deducted as paid!! Good or bad business practice - I'll let you decide BEFORE even picking up the phone! Good job #ArrowPlumbing
