I was a tenant at a property recently, I kept the house clean and in order. We did need some paint but I hired my own painter apparently the job wasn’t good enough. My security deposit was $2200 but I got an email this morning stating that wasn’t enough to cover paint, garage door opener ($138) and to have the yard cut($150). And that I would have to pay $3,800. In the email there was a threat of taking me to court without even discussing these absolutely ridiculous charges. Mind you, I have never missed a month of my rent. I had multiple electrical issues while at the property, hot water issues which were grounds for me to end the contract but I waited and waited... read full review
