Dr. LaRussa worked me in for an appointment shortly after I called his staff. I told the staff I could wait because I probably just needed prescription drops to help get particles out of my eye. They suggested I come on in saying he would want to take a look.

Well, that look turned into surgery after he immediately called UAB Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital and arranged for me to have same day surgery. Without the quick diagnosis and surgery I could have quickly and permanently lost vision in my eye.“
