I had multiple foundation companies come out to assess some settling. Southern structural - recommended by 3 people I trust - was the only company that didn't give me a quote the day they came out. They didn't want to scare me in a time of worry, they wanted to get to the bottom of the problem and find the causation. Out of three companies, only they recommended a structural engineer to come inspect. The "extra expense" in hiring an engineer actually saved me money on the total project. We recently purchased an older home that needed foundation work. This company was recommended by our realtor and they did a fantastic job. My engineer husband was very impressed with their work. Highly recommend!
