I can’t say enough about this place, and that says a lot because I’m super picky. Craig is the best medical provider we’ve had since we moved to AK (10 years ago). We had a family practice doc that I loved in MT and I never thought we’d be able to replace him but Craig has absolutely met and 100% surpassed every expectation. We pulled all 3 of our kids from their pediatric practices too, because Craig genuinely cares for our whole family way beyond what you would expect from your healthcare provider. We’ve been going to Heritage Family Medicine for almost 10 years now. I was a little panicked that my pediatrician was leaving state and I would have to find a new doctor. Dr. Salhstrom was one of the doctors my pediatrician was referring patients to. He’s seen all of my kids since they were babies and toddlers, he’s helped me with health issues that rose up, and he’s very easy to work with if you have no insurance (which is always a plus for me!) I do have insurance now, which is great but I did not for the first few years. I love how you can always get a hold of him and talk to him personally if needed. Additionally, I was a little nervous when PA Craig got hired on, new providers always make me nervous, but Craig is fantastic as well! Everyone from the reception staff to the med assistants are wonderful.
They are always so helpful and kind! I am always able to schedule in a reasonable amount of time and get the health answers that I need. I would recommend this primary care office very highly.
