Tanning in Anchorage

“I live out of state and wanted a spray tan before my wedding in Anchorage. I wasn't able to get a trial tan since I don't live in AK so I trusted K's Airbrush Tans off the great reviews and I'm so glad I did! I wanted a natural glow to avoid looking too pale against my white dress. My tan by Kayla turned out great and the results lasted through my week-long honeymoon after!“

“I called on a Saturday and asked how late they were open until. The phone girl said 8pm. I asked if they had a 6:20 or 6:40 available in the Open Sun and she said both. I said I’d take the 6:40 and she got my last and first name. I showed up on time to find the store dark and open sign off. The sign on the front door said they were only open until 8pm on weekdays and weekends was 6pm. I laughed and thought to myself how could they schedule me for after close? Now, you’re probably asking yourself why I still have them 5 stars. I messaged them on social media and explained what happened. They apologized, said they would talk to their staff and put a free tan on my account. That was good enough for me. Mistakes happen, they owned up to it and made it right. Their facilities are always clean and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’m sure this was just a one off with an in training employee. I’ve tanned at Sunsation off and on since I was in high school, and I’m now 38, so for 22 years. They will always have my business.“

“I enjoy being at Alaska club. It’s relatively clean and good employees. My main concern is closing hours. I get off work at 10-11 at night and would love to come sauna to end the day. I’ve heard other members express this too. Years ago I remember being able to steam room/sauna late at night but not anymore unfortunately. Covid ruined the late night hours ant ank club and I think it’s time to come back to pre Covid hours. Also, having a cold plunge would benefit everyone for muscle recovery and not a lot of gyms in anchorage has one so Ak club can separate from competition. In college my soccer team trainers expressed how important cold and hot therapy is for recovery to hit your full potential. I’ve seen the new upgrades in the pool area so I know the club is investing which is nice to see. A cold plunge would be an amazing addition. Thanks and I hope you take this into consideration.“

“Staff is great, place is always very clean. The rooms are a bit too utilitarian; it functions, but you can barely turn around because the bed takes up the entire space. Still, would def recommend.“
