Now I've been able to apply for the city permit and the company started to be a lot more responsive, at the level initially expected. I recently had a hot water tank replaced. It was a 75 gallon tank that supplied both house water and in floor heating in the basement. After having a handful of companies quoting on this job (some of which didn't even come to the house) I came across Shift Air Mechanical. I first spoke to Jennifer who was amazingly helpful. She sent out Michael, who was very knowledgeable in the combination domestic water and in floor system. He pointed out that he couldn't replace the tank without bringing the installation up to code. He took pictures and said that he would get back to me with costs. After deciding that I would accept their quote, the wheels were set in motion.... read full review

Our selection of Shift Air to do a heat pump for us was partly based on the good ratings they had received for their work and that they appeared to be the best heat pump installer in the Invermere area. We received a quote for two Daikin heat pumps. Then things went sideways. There were some problems with the power requirements leading to a redesign of the system. The installation start was slightly later than planned and took longer. Then the heat pump didn’t work. After numerous visits from Shift Air staff, they determined that there was a problem with a valve in the Daikin heat pump that had been installed and this was unbalancing the entire system.
