She carefully assessed my hair and performed a test strand to ensure we could achieve the desired color using a no-bleach technique, given my history of box dye 7 months ago and a hair Botox 3 weeks ago. Her emphasis on healthy, long-lasting color was evident, and after the test, she confidently proceeded with the process. The result was stunning—my hair, which hadn’t been touched in 7 months, looks vibrant and healthy without any bleach. I’m absolutely in love with the color and the no-bleach technique. She did my toddlers first haircut and I could not have asked for a better experience! She was so welcoming and calming, my toddler immediately felt comfortable with her. I had expressed I have been nervous to have my toddlers first hair cut as she has very course and curly hair. She explained the process to me clearly and shared what techniques would work best for hair care, styling and over all maintenance. The haircut was beautiful and exactly what I had wanted. Billie also cut, coloured and styled my hair. Again, she was so welcoming and calming. I also get nervous with haircuts for myself as I have curly hair and have had many negative experiences with not being heard. “I’ve been coming to Golden Blade since it first opened and keep going back because of the excellent haircuts and beard trims I get every time I go. Will’s attention to detail is like no other in my experience with barbers in south Calgary. Although I’ve had several barbers and all have been great. I had a less-than-great experience one time with a different barber but Will invited me back to fix it up for no extra charge. Since then I’ve had the same barber and it was great. You’re in good hands with whoever you get. Rarely have to wait more than a few minutes too.“

I had very long unkept curly hair and wanted to make a big change and just feel more put together and confident. I had been playing with the idea of shoulder length for a while but had been too afraid to do it. Finally I decided it was time!
Laura listened to me and what I thought I wanted, we looked at photos together, she made suggestions based on my curl pattern all the while putting me at ease and sharing a wonderful time together.
She cut first, then styled, and then sculpted my curls based on how they dried naturally.

My hair looks and feels great, I am feeling way more confident with myself and I am so, so grateful for the whole experience!
