I don’t usually leave reviews and I’m not being paid to say this, I’m just so thankful to have found a gem tucked away in New West. I’ve been sugaring (hair removal) consistently for about 8 years and I’ve been everywhere (all the hair removal places in Vancouver and beyond). I can confidently say Rachel is one of the best. She is extremely professional, thorough, and skilled. Her treatment room is spotlessly clean. Her technique makes for a more comfortable experience and you leave feeling smooth and hair free. Her rates are also totally reasonable. I go 5-weeks between appointments and haven’t picked up a razor in years. My skin is sensitive and I’ve been burned by waxing in the past. Or I would turn bright red. Sugaring is the answer and it’s worth going out of your way to book with Rachel.

Dr. Chen is an exceptional health care provider. She is compassionate, caring, and gifted with an intuitive and educated understanding of the sources of pain and the causes of physical limitations while also possessing the training, knowledge and skill required to heal the pain.
I will forever be grateful to her for helping me regain mobility after an injury that other health providers informed me could not be resolved without surgery. Dr. Chen taught me how to supplement her skilled care with specific exercises that expedited my healing and mobility, allowing me to resume hiking and traveling.

It was our first time at Silvana Dayspa & Salon, and I chose this place purely based on the reviews. We had an excellent time with Mary Jean and Elizabeth, who made the whole experience worthwhile. It's exactly what we needed. I love the holographic chrome nail polish, and my husband loved it as well.
@ale.Rosa.ink is an exceptional artist. My daughter designed my tattoo and Ale expressed and enhanced the botanical lotus beautifully. Her lines and colors expressed exactly what I wanted and the energy and intention behind the symbols. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. I highly recommended this studio.

I can’t say enough good things about April! I recently returned to her about four months ago for color on my sisterlocks, and every experience since has reminded me why I trusted her with my hair back in high school. She now colors and styles my hair in between my retightenings. April used to maintain my relaxers and roller sets, and my hair was always thick, healthy, and full of body—I received so many compliments back then, and that same level of care is still present today.

Having just transported our antique cabinet the 3,000 miles to live here, somehow the cabinet door could not be unlocked. We called AKS on a recommendation. Their response was immediate, lucky us, with Jay coming out the same day we called! With all the proper tools, about 45 minutes later, viola', He explained the mechanism clearly, the difficulty of the lock even with the appropriate key but after 140 years the brass cam-lifter had simple deteriorated and broken off. And he still opened it! He speculated the origin and purpose of the cabinet as well as the maintenance of the wood (mineral oil, not paste wax). He also fixed the mechanism so as not to inadvertently close and lock again. Happy with the results we paid him a a modest fee and we returned to unpacking the rest of everything one home may accumulate over a 40 year period. Thorough,decent and even displayed the virtues not easily found with The Big Box Enterprises. Recommend without hesitation.
Today, I took my little girl for her very first haircut, a milestone that was both exciting and a bit daunting for us. Initially, we had some concerns about how the experience would unfold, but those worries disappeared when we met Kim. She effectively addressed all of my questions in a clear and honest manner, which I greatly appreciated. Importantly, she didn’t pressure us into buying any styling products, which made the experience feel much more relaxed. Kim demonstrated remarkable patience with my wiggly 6-year-old, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a positive one. Her expertise in handling curly hair was evident, and she provided excellent styling tips that I found useful. Based on this experience, I would definitely recommend her to other parents with curly-haired children, as she has the knowledge and approach that can make a difference.
I took my daughter here to get her hair braided . The staff is very friendly its a clean kid freely environment they make sure you are comfortable. Mrs.Liz and her daughter are so sweet . My daughter hair is beautiful I would definitely recommend this salon for any of your needs if I could rate them 100 I definitely would because its worth it .
I have been renting from Adventureland Bounce House for several years now and they never disappoint. Did long box braids and curled the ends for my daughter. She is very happy with them. Very good price for the value! We made a 3:30 appointment and they had 3 braiders working on her hair. Definitely worth it. We will only get braids done at Fatima's!

I came to Nirvana Kneads barely able to sit down due to sciatica pain. I've had sciatica pain before but this was more tender and sorer. I also had a bit of a frozen shoulder and plantar fasciitis. I was a mess! The massage I received was both medicinal and therapeutic. I've had massages around the world in many different settings including physical therapists' offices, high end spas, and Thailan. This was by far the best and most helpful massage I've ever had. Each massage is catered specifically for your needs. Martina used techniques and tools I've never experienced before. I walked out a new person! I recommend you run if you can (I couldn't) to book your appointment as soon as possible. I highly recommend her!

I ve been going to this salon for almost 11 yrs. Always been super happy with Shida. There is something going on there right now. It used to be a fun place . Now the tension is thick. One stylist ( about a year) is very rude with customers and clients. She talks on her cell phone for an hour, loudly, and in a different language. Besides that I have heard her tell another employee to be quiet while she’s talking on her cell phone. Emergency when Shida was off, while blowing my hair ( I think the name starts with an F told me Shida had cut my hair unevenly. B.s. people stop me to ask where I get my hair done frequently. Besides who talks about another employee like that . A 103 yr old long time client was told to move because she was standing at the desk wrong on a walker and this F got really annoyed because this elderly woman didn’t know what she meant. The lady was trying to check in. F got ruder and then she actually went around the counter and told her which leg to move first. It was hard for me to stay in my seat. I was furious. She tells me on the phone that Shida is not available when I find out she was. There are 2 younger stylists who have come recently, and they are consistent with the shop, in friendliness,kindness and pitching in to help. I’ve seen the other stylists called up to cash register and chastised because F has called the boss to complain that it’s the other stylists who are rude . Not so, anytime F acts like his, the rest of the patrons roll their eyes I’ve given a five star because the other girls don’t deserve a low rating. I’d hate to see this shop lose business because it really was a fun place to go
Last week, Dec. 11, my mother's water heater died. Affordable Comfort was my first call. AC's Matt Carrscadden, who we knew from a furnace purchase in the Spring, came by the next day. Matt was very thorough and helpful. He explained everything we needed to know in a way that was clear and easy to understand. It wasn't the hard sell, for which I was very grateful. I'm also really grateful for the service he and all the crew at AC provide. Matt's card will remain on the fridge.
We cannot say enough good things about this construction company. After a tree fell on our home and caused over $100,000 in damage, we were understandably overwhelmed and very cautious about who we trusted with such a major repair. From start to finish, this team was exceptional. Their pricing aligned with our insurance budget, the quality of workmanship was outstanding, and every phase of the project was handled with professionalism and care. Communication was clear, timely, and consistent — we always knew what was happening and what to expect next, which made a stressful situation far more manageable. First of all, Sage Dermatology is the best find. I Google a lot before I make decisions, and I'm thankful for those who wrote reviews that led me to this excellent find. I only have one complaint: I wish Doctor Brimhall wore many other medical hats so I could go to her for all my needs. She is so sweet, pleasant, kind, and compassionate. My compliments also apply to anyone who works there. I feel relaxed and at home when I walk into their office.
