I am not one to write negative reviews. I give people the benefit of the doubt, but this situation has sat wrong with me since we came home today.

Brought my preteen daughter in for a haircut after a 3+ week road trip across the country. We moved from Arizona where we lived for 13 years. She was excited to get her hair trimmed and refreshed before starting a new school.

I should say I know my daughter deals with dandruff and oily hair, and since our road trip, the stylist informed us it had gotten worse and that she had a lot of buildup. I appreciate the insight, however her demeanor towards my daughter was completely unacceptable.

Let me start by saying she did not approach me about these problems with my daughters hair, I got up from the waiting area and approached her after I heard her grilling my daughter about how often she washes her hair. She loudly exclaimed that my daughter needed to see a doctor for the entire salon to hear, and while her concerns may have been valid, her delivery lacked any sort of empathy for my daughter who is going through hormonal changes and just left the only state she’s ever called home.

A 45 minute haircut where this stylist did not say a SINGLE WORD to my daughter. I have taken my daughter to many different hairstylists and never have I felt such judgement. I had to ask her 3 times what in salon product she recommended for my daughter’s hair, it was very obvious she was not happy to be dealing with her and she wanted us out of there.

2 stars because it was a decent haircut. But I will not be bringing my daughter or myself back to this salon. Out of respect, I won’t say the stylists name. But I felt others should know, I do not recommend you bring your adolescents here.

Their student stylist in Martinsburg (by the Kings Pizza parlor) worked some major magic with my outgrown hair! I highly recommend her, she's done an incredible job.

Had a great experience with Ava today! She's learning but takes her time to make sure she does the cut right! She also has the full support of the other stylists especially the salon owner who double checked the cut.
Then she gave me the best blowout of my life!

I loved my experience at Glitter! Ava washed, cut, and styled my hair. She did great at my balayage and hair tinsel. She helped me pick when I wasn’t sure what was the best choice on different things. The atmosphere was professional and relaxing at the same time. Between the snacks, tea, and Ava’s amazing care, I felt so pampered🎀

I came across Glitter hair salon while looking for a new salon. So glad I chose glitter. Ava was amazing and very knowledgeable. Jennifer the owner was also very knowledgeable and amazing. Can’t wait till my next appointment.

Amy did a great job cutting my toddlers hair. She was very patient. Recommend this place for kids haircuts.

I highly recommend this place! They understand the in's and out's of color theory and hair care. This place provides top service from an array of snacks, to an extensive coffee bar, to relaxing music, to a great hair massage, and finally professional and knowledgeable hair services. I had the best experience here!

I LOVED THIS PLACE! I went online and looked at so many Salons. I finally chose Glitter based on their pictures on Facebook. Her website was easy to use and the prices are affordable. My hair cut came out exactly how I wanted it. Definitely taking my daughter soon.
