Dr. Paul has been great for us over the years, through both general veterinary care and some more challenging end of life care. We’ve grown to really trust him and value his bedside manner and care of our dogs.

While this vet was helpful in improving and extending the life my senior cat, there were issues with diagnosing and treating a skin/ear issue with a new young cat. Over months, the vet prescribed daily use of an ear cleaner that turned out to be exasperating the issue (after successful treatment of a yeast infection). During this time, I spent time and money on numerous recommended cultures and treatments that did not work…Stopping short of a biopsy or inner-ear sample (equivalent to surgery). After a while, I really felt as if I was torturing my own pet. Then on my own, I altered my cat’s diet and discontinued use of the ear cleaner, eventually getting the issue mostly under control. The vet was unapologetic. He will tell you that switching ear cleaners was on the list of things to try. However, it was down on the list…A switch was either not mentioned during appointments, or mentioned as unlikely to help. Additionally, during this trial, I sensed that the vet was tired of us, or my cat, or just not that fond of cats in general (based on a personal comment). Editing this review in 11/25 to reflect that when I called to schedule an annual checkup after receiving multiple reminders from the practice, the vet relayed that he now refuses to see my pet.

Moved to the area and found vet via online reviews! I am very happy I listened to the good reviews and started taking my golden retriever here. My pup has regular issues, and I feel well taken care of by all the staff. They answer my list of questions, and I feel very secure with their level of care and expertise. I highly recommend. I have had to visit ER clinics if they can’t fit me in, but I have found that is standard.

Dr. Paul and the whole team at Harwood are fantastic. I brought my dog here for about 7 years after moving to the Tosa area and always felt they took great care of my boy. Dr. Paul always listened to my concerns, took time to answer my questions, and did a great job explaining things. When the time came to say goodbye to my dog, they were able to get us in the next day and made the experience as peaceful as possible, including a separate exit from the room so we didn’t have to walk back through the lobby.

Took my 12 week old kitten here for the first time for vaccinations. I was thoroughly impressed, welcoming staff, very clean facilities and Dr Paul was cool as the other side of the pillow. He's good at making you feel like a human. Whether we're chatting about married life or Lord of the rings. The prices were definitely reasonable and the process was efficient. My only complaint would be the parking is limited but that's no knock to the establishment it's just an awkward location. This is definitely our new vet home and I'm glad I chose right.
