We had an egress installed a few days ago. During the installation, Nick shared that we didn't have drain tile under our 1970's house. He also pointed to the clay soil. At the same time, he talked about the amount of rock, the cover, and a vertical drain to alleviate water pressure, so we moved forward with the install. It wasn't clear to me that I had any other options. I supposed that, if I would have asked him to leave without installing, I would have had to pay for his wasting a day of work.
Unfortunately, not one week after the install, we had a large Spring rain, and the egress filled with water, overflowed into our son's room. Now I am waiting to get an estimate from Badger Basements on how to fix this water drainage nightmare.
I think that it would have been helpful to know in the sales process that since my house was older, drain tiles might be an issue. And IF there was an issue with drain tile or clay soil, I could possibly have drainage problems.

Had them installed an egress window after my 2 friends used them. Best decision ever! They left the place clean and did excellent work! No ripped up grass on one of the wettest days. Explained the process and was extremely responsive when getting a quote!

Very impressed!! Don’t think twice about hiring this father/son crew.
From the very beginning stages of quoting our project to the final clean-up - Nick and Nick Jr were a great duo! They are respectful, knowledgeable, efficient, and communicative.
On top of their great work ethic, they were so sweet to our children who were excited to watch the excavator. We also requested some dirt be left behind which they kindly covered with their own tarp so the incoming rain didn’t soak it.

I’m finishing my basement and the work they did will increase the value of my home and allow me to have a legal bedroom in the basement. Baynick didn't require a payment to come see the job and came out to our house shortly after contacting them to see the space and walk us through the entire project in detail (permits, products, etc.). Day of install they were neat, professional and the install turned out great. After the installation was complete, my kids were so excited to see the construction and they even went above and beyond and showed my kids ALL their equipment. Would definitely recommend to people looking to have an egress window installed.

This will be an unusual review. I have yet to have an egress window installed. I have spoken with three different companies, and not one other than Nick took the time to carefully explain all the things I should consider when installing an egress window. From permits, to window size to size of a bedroom. All of this information presented to me even before I made any kind of commitment. This is how business should be conducted. Inform the potential customer of all options and benefits. If I move forward, Nick and Baynicks will be my only choice.

We just had a 60x60 egress window installed by Baynick's and I couldn't recommend them more! Even the man we pulled the permit from at our village hall was singing their praises. They were efficient, left the yard and our basement spotless, and were easy to work with every step of the way. Our window looks great and we're so happy we chose them.
