Initial visits to the clinic were fine, and I like Austin Hummel, however I just had the worst experience with the receptionist. I made an appointment to have a suspicious mole removed today (March 1st); only when I got there I found out that the receptionist had somehow scheduled it on March 29th. Didn't apologize or even admit her own mistake, didn't talk to the doctor about the situation, straight up ignored my question about being referred to a dermatologist who could see me sooner, and just insisted that my only option was to go to extended hours at another clinic in the system and HOPE they would have time for me. No idea if that's going to cost me more than if she hadn't screwed up my appointment and I could see my doctor as planned.

Awful! Worst dental experience I ever had. They kept rescheduling my teeth cleaning and then said it had been too long and I needed a new appointment before getting a cleaning. Before that they left a voicemail asking me to call them back as they had a few screening questions. When I called back I left a message with my number and they never returned my call. I called again and they asked me the same questions they asked me when I arrived at my appointment, only I had to wait on hold for 11 minutes to have the receptionist constantly talking over me. Also had a cavity filled here that hurt worse than a prior oral surgery I had done in another state. Never going back. It's sad how underfunded this program is and how little the workers care about the patients.

Horrible, horrible staff! Very rude, don't perform any but very routine care (anything else and they refer you to providers where you have to pay 100% out of pocket, then shame you for not having thousands of dollars to pay up front for dentistry). Not good with special needs patients--they left my daughter humiliated and in tears, and I wasn't much better. I have a hard enough getting my daughter to go to the dentist because of sensory issues, etc. and negative experiences like this don't help!

Dr. Berninghaus is a wonderful dentist. She has been the only one who can get me numb and keep me numb all the way through my procedures and extractions. This helps me to relax more knowing I won't have to worry about any pain or discomfort. She works quickly, but efficiently and does great work. She has a wonderful personality and is always in a positive mood. Both Dr. Berninghaus and Betty work well as a team to keep you calm and inform you of what is going on during your procedures.

I really appreciate the services I received from Dr. Berninghaus at the almira clinic. She went above and beyond to comfort and help me through my situation. I have a lot of teeth problems and she has been extremely helpful in getting my mouth back in shape and keeping me out of pain.
