This is my second 5 star experience with this clinic. First experience 2 years ago was awesome.
Two years ago it was a broken hand, I was in and out with my cast in 45 minutes- no lie! Spotlessly clean then and still spotlessly clean now. Great staff, Elizabeth and Dr Russell addressed my issues with champion knowledge and even better bedside manner.
The entrance to this urgent care is not well marked. It is the greenery covered door to the right of the clinic main entrance as you approach the building.
I am not sure why people leave such poor reviews. You should consider yourself very lucky to have such a great place to go on Island. If you thought it was bad at this place, try going to the other places off Island.....the hassle involved getting there, then there's filth and hit/miss staff at these other places. I know as I went there before and was sorely disappointed.
YAYEEEEEE for this urgent care! I greatly appreciate you. Keep up the great work👍

The clinic is a joke. Starting with the scheduler, then with Dr. Tzou that would not do a prostrate exam on a 58 year old man, whose family has history of cancer, wanting to do all appointments online, and so on. You cancel an appointment online 5 days before the appointment, then you get a threatening letter from them because you did not show up. They have a monopoly, they know it and treat patients worse than animals. Update 9/24/25 @To Patient Relations,
I am deeply disappointed with the way your organization has handled my case. The lack of action on your part exemplifies everything that is wrong with how you treat those who trust you with their health. We are not simply “patients” in your system—we are people, yet you treat us as revenue sources, showing no regard for our well-being.
I have now been diagnosed with prostate cancer at Swedish. Because of your inaction and negligence, I have engaged legal counsel and will be pursuing legal action against both your institution and Dr. Tzou for medical negligence and any related claims that apply.
Dr. Tzou, your “wait and see” approach and refusal to order a simple, appropriate diagnostic test has had devastating consequences for my life. You repeatedly told me not to worry, that prostate cancer would be detected through routine annual blood tests with ample time to treat it. That advice was fundamentally incorrect, particularly given my clear and documented family history of cancer and my repeated requests for proper prostate screening.
Your failure to act has now resulted in serious harm. I will see you in court, where you will be required to explain these decisions to a jury.

Horrible is all I can say. Won’t ever go back here. First, I went for a primary care visit and the doctor after my visit forgot to push a button notifying the lab. I waited for over 30 minutes, watching people who came after me be seen first. Careless!!!! I was getting worried as I needed to get to work. Secondly, they overcharge! Yep, you’ve been warned. I went in for a visit for some sever low back pain. I was seen by my provider who hardly had anytime for me. Sent me away with pain medication and a month later…. A bill for over $200. There is zero transparency about what appointments will cost. Insurance says it’s an out of office visit. This is just a way for Virgian Mason to say, this wasn’t a routine visit so we are going to charge you a lot for this. Horrible horrible. More Interests in taking your money then helping the patient. Never going back here.

Even when busy - lab wasn’t a long wait. Have gotten excellent care here. A nurse-practitioner really listened to me & sent me for tests which uncovered a serious, life-threatening heart condition.

VM has taken on too many patients. It is difficult to see a doctor and they repeatedly tell you to go to the hospital when services can be done at the clinic. Frustrating!

I have been going to Virginia Mason on Bainbridge Island. The Doctors, PACs and Nurses have always been professional, caring and value added to my wellness plans. The only issues I experienced in the past is with the front.checkin desk. It is hit or miss with who checks you in and their individual demeanors; some are not.as pleasant as others and consistency could be improved. Overall, I appreciate the care revceived at VM Bainbridge and will continue to put my trust in their care.

I drove an hour to this clinic for an annual exam only to be told they couldn’t see me because I hadn’t been here in five years—despite their system allowing me to schedule an appointment a week ago with no issues. No error flagged during booking, no courtesy call to let me know there was a problem, nothing. I used to have my primary care here years ago and thought I could return since I was still in their system. I’ve been desperately trying to get an appointment with a new doctor for months, and everything has been booked out, so this felt like a small win. Instead, it was a complete waste of time.
What’s absolutely baffling is that their system let me book, and I was even allowed to check in on the day of the appointment. It wasn’t until I was sitting in the exam room that a health worker casually told me they couldn’t see me. I explained I drove an hour to be here, pointed out that their system allowed me to book, and emphasized that no one had told me this wasn’t possible beforehand. Did they try to resolve it or accommodate me in any way? No. Just a curt, “We can’t see you. Goodbye.”
This level of disorganization and lack of basic courtesy is unacceptable. How can a medical facility claim to offer “care” when they treat patients like this? There’s no care here, just an utter disregard for people’s time, effort, and well-being. Unbelievable.

These people nearly killed me twice. Discharged me with a hemoglobin so low I was in need of a transfusion which I got at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA. Turns I needed 5 blood transfusions. Discharged me with a Potassium level of 2.0, normal is 3.5-5.2. If you want crappy care, go here.

I’ve experienced nothing but trouble, over charged for things, long wait times. The staff is kind and, mostly great. I just can’t get into my primary care ever anymore, and I’m a recovering addict, when I NEED my doctor I need them. Doctor Tomberg is one of the best around but I guess that’s why it takes me 12 months to get any sort of appointment with him. I have to send multiple cries for help in the message portal to get anywhere at this point. I hope they figure something out. It hurts my heart to say but I want support, not to be treated as a number
