    This was the first time I've boarded Buddy (my nine year-old cat) and he was a bit shocked to be left there. I wasn't exactly impressed by some of the staff, and I found it impossible to reach a human by phone. I thought the so-called cat condos a bit cramped, but Buddy did well after going off his food for a day or so.
    For short-term boarding, I would recommend Holiday Barn.

    I typically use Google reviews to give good-work kudos for merchants and service providers, but not this time. On Friday I left my nine-year old cockapoo, Cooper, at Holiday Barn (Midlothian) for a three day weekend of boarding, with a bath to be given yesterday (Sunday.) When I went to pick him up shortly ago, it took much longer than usual for them to bring him out. When he appeared, his paws, face, and backside were wet. I asked the fellow that brought him out what happened.     We have been bringing Roxie for several months now. She has been through the training. The staff and trainers are absolutely amazing. The groomer is also awesome. We love all of the staff. Would not leave Roxie anywhere else. JOHN & Sharon Willis
