I discovered Hair a few years ago, thank goodness!! A friend of mine’s hair was looking amazing and I asked her who she sees - best thing I ever did. A few months later another friend asked who was doing MY hair and now she comes here too!!
Hair is also more than just a salon, it has a wonderful, warm vibe to it. I bring my mom in, she has Alzheimer’s and it’s one of the few places she feels comfortable going to. They treat her like a princess when she comes in, like we are family.
So I now have amazing hair AND new friends to cherish.

I have gotten my hair done once here and they did a good job, however I had an appointment scheduled today and they never called to cancel. I went to the salon, waited outside for 15 minutes, but nothing. No one ever called to tell me the appointment was cancelled, no one answered the phone when i called, and no one was in the salon. And the time that i did get my hair done with them the stylist was late. Overall, not my favorite place. Very unprofessional to no call no show on clients. They also didn’t post on their social media or anything saying they were closed, so I had no idea.

I had a few haircuts in this place, and they were great and fairly priced. I booked an appointment to do my hair for the holiday season way beforehand because this season is so busy. However, the stylist didn’t show up and I ended up waiting and freezing in at the door for 20 min. We rescheduled to the next day, but they cancelled 1.5 hours before the appointment. Everywhere else is booked by now, and it looks like I’m not getting a haircut at all. Next time despite the convenience, I’m going elsewhere where I can be sure to have my appointment.

Charles and Crys are fantastically talented, funny, personable and brilliant! They are also CONSISTENT!!
The cut, the color, the highlights always look amazing, while their salon is always bright, beautiful and welcoming!

I came to HAIR the salon in 2021 desperate to fix a botched highlight job from another local salon. HAIR was able to get me in for an appointment that week. Katelyn not only fixed my hair but has been my go to girl ever since! In fact, I know at least 5 other girls who go to Katelyn regularly, we all love her! I never have issues making appointments, even if I need to schedule or change last minute. Katelyn is also able to do my hair in the evening which is a HUGE help for me with my schedule. Crys and Charles are so welcoming and genuinely fun to be around! They always have music playing, offer you water/coffee, take your coat for you. I cant say enough good things, I recommend them to everyone!

My cuts and color have been great. I’m just disappointed they’ve canceled on me two separate times, both of which were only several hours before my appt. Never an apology or “sorry for the inconvenience” - just a statement. This salon does good work, but they don’t check the professionalism and reliability boxes for me.Services: Hair coloring

Today Katelyn did not show up at all so I decided I wouldn’t be coming back and asked for my extra extensions back. They lost them”Services: Hair extensions

Hands down the best color job of my life! I am not great at communicating in the salon chair and normally leave with something a little off from what I was looking for, but Charles just totally understood what I was going for despite my questionable communication. He asked all the right questions and delivered exactly what I wanted. He also mixed a toning conditioner that has brought my hair back to life a few times since I saw him ~6 months ago. Could not recommend anymore highly!!

These guys are on my karma list for sure! Due to my own poor planning, I arrived 90 minutes early for a makeup appointment on a busy Saturday. They couldn't work me in & I needed to cancel on the spot, which I really hate to do. I offered to buy some product equivalent$ to my service, to try to make them whole, and they wouldn't let me. "No big deal, these things happen". THANK YOU HTS, for being so understanding. They are at the top of the list for my next Richmond salon visit.
