I want to start by saying that I am newly natural and I have a LOT (seriously, a LOT) of 4c hair. Because of the difficult nature of my hair, I rely heavily on stylists to help me look my best. I have been looking for a patient and experienced stylist to help me grow my natural hair out. Most of the stylists I've met have been great, but I haven't quite gotten that feeling that I could continue to go to them long term. After reading the reviews for Jevata's salon I decided to book with her. Her salon is clean and beautiful and she is very knowledgeable and kind. They did a fantastic job on my updo for a wedding . It looked very dramatic, sculpted and elegant. It also lasted all night despite it being an outdoor ceremony and reception, and with hours of dancing! Even the next day it was in great shape. I highly recommend Canvas.

Sooooo, I was in dyer need of a trim as I am lazy when it comes to doing what I need to do to keep my hair healthy anyway, I came on Yelp to find some salons that specializes in natural hair and came across this shop. After reading the reviews I felt l wanted to give it a try. The reviews were great. I called in that day to see if I could walk in and Jevata was willing to take me, then I forgot I had another appt that day that conflicted with that so I called her back and let her know I couldn't make it.
