No attention was given to selection of quality hardwood strips when our new floor was installed. Even though extra hardwood was ordered and carried away after the job was completed, as I have now lived with this floor for 10 months, I see all the inferior pieces that were installed. There was an issue with tile that was removed and debris left behind in AC floor vents, but to his credit Troy did rectify the problem by having the vents professionally cleaned. The crew and Mr Troy were polite and easy to work with. With so many great reviews, I expected a “5 star” job.

Required half payment (cash) upfront. Put wrong finish on twice. Third time, had clearly visible grit (and could feel it) throughout finish. Fourth time, areas were missed (again, clearly visible). Never heard from Mr. Smith again, even though he knew the finish was poorly/unevenly applied, and had offered to reapply/fix it. (Also, dripped finish down risers, and chipped risers.) Had another contractor come and reapply top coat for 25% of what Smith charged. 16 months since our ordeal began, our friends who recommended Smith need their floors redone just seven years later because top coat is wearing off (they have no children and only one small and gentle elderly dog). Perhaps Smith can do honey-colored or "natural" (light) floors. Of course, you wouldn't see all the mistakes with a lighter color (ours our darker), but you'd have to be ok having the top coat reapplied every several years even with minimal wear and tear.

Wow! We had our Subaru Outback detailed today and it came out far beyond our expectation. The interior looked factory new, and this is really saying something, considering the amount of husky dog hair inside the car. We appreciate that he stayed at the price he originally quoted and delivered the car within 10 minutes of the time it was promised. Highly recommend JC Auto Detailing in Seaside, Oregon.

If rated 1 to 10, this company is a 10. They refinished our original floors from the 1920s and did an outstanding job. They were prompt, efficient, cost effective, and professional throughout the process. We are very pleased with the result and would definitely recommend them!Service: Restoration
